Relbeek discovers that not everyone who disagrees with him is a raving lunatic -- film at 11:00.

(It was nice to see this guy acknowledge Jimmy Carter as another president with a strong Christian faith.)

Well, I have to admit that I think you, Eidolon and Klast are all raving lunatics.

Especially when I'm agreeing with one of you. That's some scary shit.

You were probably trying to come up with something more original.

Sorry 'bout that.

Aw, the word may not have been original, but I thought the delivery was decent. :)

Ha! I told you Bush was the anit-christ!

*snicker* seriously though, it's creepy how that article points to all the things that christians have taught would define the anti-christ.

But yeah just because you are a christian does not mean you are a republican and many christians fought and will continue to fight against what Bush and the Republican party is doing to this country.

Not all Christians are hate mongering biggots, not all of us are straight white or men, and not all of us are raving lunatics (ok I might be ooo *spooky noises*).

This is not a revelation to me, jackhole. You may not know it here because the regulars on the right here happen to be almost to a man pigeonholeable into the category of neocon butthead. Give me a Chants or one of his ilk, and you'll find I'm much more respectful.

You can be radical on some issues and still be centrist.

I consider myself so. (Legalizing drugs and prostitution come to mind for radical ideas I feel passionately about.)

Doesn't painting people who don't agree with you as "neocon" work against that which you say you would rather have? Aren't you just marginalizing them and increasing the level of rhetoric by doing so?

For instance, even though I'm conservative, I wouldn't consider myself a neocon. I'm against the death penalty, for the legalization of drugs, against unrestricted development (talking housing and business developments), against emminent domain (which ostensibly is supposed to favor governments, but is merely a way for large developers to take an individuals land), for NAFTA, for emission standards in vehicles, for keeping the Alaska wilderness off-limits to oil exploration and against the elimination of educational opportunities for those that are incarcerated.

Hardly neocon positions. Yet you paint me as one.
Correction Mr. President, I DID build this, and please give Lurker a hug, we wouldn't want to damage his self-esteem.

Mind you, I still find about half of what you say incredibly asinine. ;) Well, maybe a third.

Embar and Chants are the ones that come to mind, personally.

I think I agree with them more than disagree, but each of us prioritizes our personal political list differently, leading to different political affiliations. I certainly respect their opinions because they actually have thought attached to them, unlike others who give parrots a run for their money.

PS. All illuminati know that all fanatics oppose each other.

I don't consider Chants a regular. He's an irregular. :)
