Russia only held armor superiority for small sections of time throughout the war. The balance was always shifting; however, the Russians were able to produce a lot more, and faster (numerical superiority) after 1942 when they were starting to hit peak wartime industrial capacity (in relation to the US which hit it in the spring of 1945).Partha wrote:Russia. If the Brits had not entered the war and remained neutral, who would most likely have won?
If the French hadn't provided resistance and strategic information and support for normandy, who would most likely have won?
If the Russians hadn't entered the war, who would most likely have won?
See Embar - you're just retarded if you think the US was the only country that you could remove that would tip the scales. Nuff said.

Ddrak is right in that regard. Britain and Australian support were critical in their respective theaters during WW2. As for the French...well...I'm not going to give them TOO much credit for the resistance. They'd have been forced to drink German wine if things stayed the way they were.
In an effort to drag this kicking and screaming back on topic, however, didn't I hear on the news yesterday that the journalist who floated this theory in the New Yorker has come under fire by the Administration for...Dan Rather-esque...fact checking?
Let's face it. We've had a thread about mythical death squads in Iraq. We've had a thread about the Gay Bomb. This random-conspiracy-bullshit-of-the-week thread is getting old. Get over it, Dubya is the duly elected President and Kerry is not, no matter how many protest rallies there are outside the Inauguration.

Death squads and gay bombs would have been a lot more believable under Reagan, and I hold Reagan in vastly higher regard than Bush.

You're going to question the integrity and veracity of the man who not only broke Abu Ghraib, but also broke My Lai? The man's reputation is spotless everywhere you ask, except in the dark recesses of Freeperland, where everything becomes covered in the shit they shovel on each other.Eidolon Faer wrote:Ddrak is right in that regard. Does the fact that half of it's founders are former Israeli intelligence operators mean anything to you?
From their website (You have to dig, there IS no contact information, no listed board of directors for what claims to be a 501(c)3 organization)

He also was counter terrorism advisor to Benjamin Netanyahu. Somehow I doubt there's a lack of bias here.Yigal Carmon is MEMRI's President.
