Gonzales a perjurer?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6857224/site/newsweek/
So what of it, Republicans? Y'all wanted Clinton's buns on a platter for perjury... now Gonzales appears to have perjured himself in his own confirmation hearing.
Still support his confirmation?
Oh, in other news, Rush Limbaugh called Sen. Mark Dayton (D-MN) a racist for opposing the confirmation of Condi Rice as Secretary of State. HA HA RACE BAITING ISNT JUST FOR DEMOCRATS ANYMORE

Just out of morbid curiosity, considering Gonzales went there in an official attorney capacity, how could he answer that honestly, without violating attorney/client privilege?
And another thing I'm confused about, when are meetings in the judges chambers closed under a closed meeting (i.e. not on for the record) how does that translate to he's got to mention this, again as part of A/C P?
Not that I think Gonzales shouldn't be under a lot of shit for this, but I assumed that he left out the parts that he had to leave out.

Re:
Rules for government counsel aren't the same as for private folks. Also, he could have indicated 'Yes, I brought up the motion', and it wouldn't be political dynamite like lying to Congress SHOULD be (However, I remember Ollie North. Some political faction made him a hero for lying to Congress.)Just out of morbid curiosity, considering Gonzales went there in an official attorney capacity, how could he answer that honestly, without violating attorney/client privilege?

Actually Dd I see the same problem with this as I did with Clinton. If you don't have the stones to admit to it under oath, when directly asked, or directly reply 'Nonnya' then you aren't leadership material.
While there are varying degrees of lying, I'd like to know that when pressed in the right situation, that the politicians are capable of telling the truth. Quiet frankly who Clinton gets felatio from and who Gonzales gets off of jury duty, isn't Nations Security and doesn't need to be lied about.

Yep Beestyall, that's pretty much what I said. I see this perjury being the same as Clinton's and given the GOP is still up in arms about Clinton (don't they love to hate that boy), they should stop being hypocrites and get rid of Gonzales too.
Of course, hypocrisy is an essential part of politcs so it ain't gonna happen.
