I knew Troy on brell, as I'm sure many of you did, and play with him now in WoW. (since he didn't post his character name, I won't either.)

the survey is serious and part of his grad work. If you don't want to participate, don't, but please don't fuck with a guy's work just for shits and giggles.

Oh, Cart, I wouldn't. He and his may have given me some undeserved shit from time to time (and some deserved shit, probably, with that) but nobody should fuck with a guy's education.

Well, except Azaen's.

I am curious about the results of this survey, how the results pertain to whatever you're using them for, and how your personal bias will come into effect in this project. Anybody that's played an MMO has an opinion about it. Someone who's played several MMOs probably has more of one.

MMOs are ruled by money, both fake and realistic. If you ever invent a game that doesn't use money and/or has a regulated trade/player sale system where people can only buy and sell items within set parameters and only in the game itself, more MMORGs would better in terms of people not becoming disgruntled and selling accounts, fake money, etc. While this would not completely eliminate such things, it'd bring greed down a notch or two and put more focus on social interaction; something which is commonly forgotten in this day and age due to the need to have the most toys and the biggest patch of the sandbox all to oneself.

However, this is what would be known as a "Communist Economy System" and would fail utterly in a capitalistic society, as everyone must compare penis size on a daily basis - be it in real life, or online.

I hope this information helps your in your study. Thank you for your time and efforts at communication.
