Will he be confirmed on Thursday? Or will he go down in flames?

Confirmation is symbolic. I think that republicans will approve him to prevent any association of a failed confirmation in the ramp up to the judicial re-nomination fight.

Agreed, he will be confirmed. This is one the Senate leadership has to be able to deliver for Bush.

It doesn't look like a filibuster will happen either. But I'm wondering if it will be a straight party-line vote or if there will be crossovers.

If the Flint acusations are true it may cause this confirmation to derail. I have a feeling they are false tho. we'll have to see.
