Advent Rising - xbox/PC game

I'd never heard of this game before until I just saw a commercial for it. After watching the E3 trailor it looks like a pretty cool sci-fi/action game. It looks like a HALO meets the Matrix meets the Force type environment and the storyline is set up as a trilogy. Its on PC and Xbox only, anyone going to pick it up or already have it?

I had been following the development of Fable since the release of Xbox. I was planning on buying that game before I ever saw an advertisement. I haven't heard a thing about this game and it looks to have a strong storyline which is something I can't say about Fable.

Thus far the reviews for Advent Rising have been very poor. Check out www.gamerankings.com

Sounds like a great concept but poor (rushed?) execution,

No the game was delayed from its earlier release to work on the framerate issues. Not to say that they are all fixed, but reports have indicated that the game style is a bit forgiving for the framerate dropping.

Plus the dialogue was cowritten by Orson Scott Card which supports the claims that the story is well done.
End the hypocrisy!

Great book.
Correction Mr. President, I DID build this, and please give Lurker a hug, we wouldn't want to damage his self-esteem.

Trivia: Card also wrote some of the dialogue for "The Secret Of Monkey Island." Still one of the greatest computer games of all time.

Never knew that. Interesting to learn.

If anyone cares to know they are still working on making a movie of Ender's Game.

Movie Info

Still in the script writing stage.
