Wow, reading this made me recall stuff I had long forgotten. Lets see, forgive me if I screw up zone names or player names....Its been years since I even thought about EQ
- Getting a full suit of Bronze. It was in the very early days of the server and bronze was still a rare commodity. I remember having all the pieces except the breastplate and this troll whose guild I was in at the time just gave it to me. Great moment....
- When Kunark first opened, Me, Lokus, Ludar, and Dantrazz went to...damn I cant remember the name ofthe zone, the rocky one with all the dragons? Skyfire? Not having any idea what was in the zone we would try to pull easy stuff to us, and we kept pulling these crazy huge things and running back into the zone...we kept doing it though despite the many many deaths.
- I remember wanting to hunt those monsters that lived under the ice in thurgadin B, so I had the great idea that maybe Lokus and I could just safely nuke them from above. Turns out they summoned Lokus down under the ice and killed him down there. There was a tremendously difficult corpse recovery after that, but was really, really funny.
- Kozymo nuking our guild leader when he was giving his first chance to present himself to the guild and impress us.
- Getting crushed, mutilated and otherwise destroyed by Sand Giants in my early days.
- Being so excited because I believed myself to be the first one on the server to cross the main continent. I did this on the first night the server opened with much evasion and "high wall crawling". I remember getting to Freeport and shouting in the zone that I just walked from Qeynos...nobody cared much, but i always fancied myself after that as sort of Norraths Merriweather Lewis.
- Becoming public enemy number one with those little dwarves in Thurgadin because I had an unhealthy obession with getting a full set of Frosted Velium.
I think most of all though all the people and friends I had and the adventures we went on. I know that sounds cheesy as hell, but its the moments that usually didn't involve grinding experience or camping an item that stand out the most for me.
Remember When...

Hmm, I'm sleepy, but I sure do recall when Bronze armor was in demand. I got a few pieces from the skellies in Oasis - was r0x0rz then!
- When Kunark first opened, Me, Lokus, Ludar, and Dantrazz went to...damn I cant remember the name ofthe zone, the rocky one with all the dragons? Skyfire? Aye, that would be Skyfire. Not a good 50-ish zone when RoK first came out unless you had access to zone content leakage from SOE. After a while, we all had strategies there.

Yah...Thurgadin B mobs suck and could not be easily exploited (in my experience).
- Kozymo nuking our guild leader when he was giving his first chance to present himself to the guild and impress us.
Dunno anything about this. I've had murderous (or at least disinterested) GLs, but don't know Kozymo.
- Getting crushed, mutilated and otherwise destroyed by Sand Giants in my early days.
OMG, you remember how Derv Camp 3 in NRo was the best XP camp...and how now and then SG's would happen by and stomp our newbie asses to dust? They were so rude!
- Being so excited because I believed myself to be the first one on the server to cross the main continent. I did this on the first night the server opened with much evasion and "high wall crawling". I recall a story where a Gnome Necro selected Cabilis as his starting city when RoK came out and the game let him do it. The poor little fella spawned in Ak`Anon, and figured he was supposed to get to Cabilis. Little rascal made it all the way to the Swamp of No Hope as a nekkid lvl 1 before he died. I remember him saying he petitioned, but LOL...don't know if he got any goodies from that bug!
- Becoming public enemy number one with those little dwarves in Thurgadin because I had an unhealthy obession with getting a full set of Frosted Velium.
I've gotten good and bad faction, but I'm not KOS with the icy dwarves. I think that whole thing with Coldain and Kromrif, and the negative faction in Skyshrine was annoying.
- I think most of all though all the people and friends I had and the adventures we went on. I know that sounds cheesy as hell, but its the moments that usually didn't involve grinding experience or camping an item that stand out the most for me.
I agree completely, man. Figuring things out and executing even small raids as a team kicked ass. Spending 6 hours grinding out a planar camp every day is just impossible for folks who have jobs and personal relationships to maintain.
The only reason I stay with EQ is to hope to maintain my current friendships in the game, and to have the opportunity to recapture friendships from the early days. It's all been an amazing experience.
*disclaimer* I love bourbon!!

What was Kozymo's first name, before they made him change it? I forget, I keep thinking he had a variation on Raistlin, but he may not have. I am gonna have to ask Mayt
And didn't Ruutin Tuutin have a brother, Hootin Hollerin? Or was his full name Ruutintuuten Huutinhollerin? Damn that was a long time ago.
