Good news to all you people that use Mod chips for "legal" reasons, sad thing is mod chips are more than often used to play Bootleg games. But at least now you have a court that says using them for to play cheaper versions is totally legal.

Well, an Australian court. Australia doesn't have the DMCA (yet). I can almost guarantee using a mod-chip in the US is not legal.

The question is, how quickly can Sony/Microsoft/whoever get legislation through the Aussie parliament to fix this problem with consumers having rights...
