Here Fallakin, just for you.

If you were nice, you'd give away RevoTT codes and not something as common as Demonoid. :P

Hmm. I just looked at their interface. Makes it a lot easier to find audio books. I would love a code if you could PM me one.

It's rare you'll ever see a virus on a private torrent site. In fact, most "viruses" in torrents are usually because shitty (avast, etc) antiviruses flag stuff like Keygen programs as viral.

As far as demonoid goes, if she runs out I'll give whoever else wants a code one, as long as you promise not to get yourself banned or have a shitty ratio. I'd prefer not to lose my account because you were a leecher.

I'm a total leech, so I use only public trackers. The problem is that all of my phones are VoIP, which are touchy about upstream bandwidth. Some day I'll get around to configuring my router properly with QoS so I can upload, but for now big upload = can't talk on the phone.

Our area was recently upgraded to Docsis 3.0, so I'm getting almost fiber speeds with my Comcast. Something like 20/4.

No code for you! I'm glad you're honest about it, though.

I've been learning a lot more about torrents and torrent sites since lurking their forums. Learning how Demonoid can be a slow gateway into getting into the more private trackers, but some of those private trackers are only worth as much as the work you want to put into them. A whole world I never bothered caring about!

Well that was about 4 or 5 gigs last night.
Hopefully i haven't attracted the notice of my ISP.

I'm at a 5.34 ratio after almost three days of seeding while I sleep. Easy stuff.

Who's your ISP? Comcast has a 250 gb a month cap, Cox just throttles your shit and most DSL providers don't care...

EDIT: Most of the ISPs don't have a specific policy on upload bandwidth, but cable companies are espcially sensitive about it. I keep my max upload set to 10 kBps and I'm pulling movies down from public trackers in a few minutes. If you do a lot of seeding I'd get one of those free bandwidth meters and keep an eye on your usage if you're on cable. For DSL, I'd almost say the phone company is so happy to have any form of your business that they won't hassle you on upload, and with fiber the pipe is so big they probably don't care.

EDIT NOTE: Comcast is implementing new protocol agnostic network management before Jan 1. Meaning, if their system thinks you are congesting your node it will throttle you back until the load goes away. In geek speak: Sustained max bandwidth for > 15 minutes AND if your node is congested = your modem gets flagged as "Best Effort". After that if your bandwidth drops down to zero for 15 minutes, they remove the flag, which I think makes it go back to "Priority Best Effort". The guy at CC actually doing the hardware was answering my questions on broadbandreports.com and linked me a PDF hehe.

Time Warner Cincinnati flag's the mac address then throttle's it... so you change it on your router then restart your router and your cable modem... throttling = gone.

I'm on comcast. I throttled my upload to 25 KB. This has worked well in the past. Download speed was good for a few hours then it plunged down to dial up speeds.

Fuck you comcast.

My apartment building has free wireless Qwest DSL running through it, and even while sharing it with the other 30 tenants, I usually get better download/upload speeds than my Comcast line that I have too. The only reason I even have both is because my ping under the apartment wireless network sucks major ass for online gaming.
