DOCSIS 3.0 Cable

So one day a few weeks ago my Comcast cable went from 8/2 to 20/10. Comcast is now running DOCSIS 3.0 for the entire northwest, and I think their highest new speed tier is 50 megabits! Not quite what fiber can do, but we're finally running with the big boys.

Freecare - do they give you some type of discount now for promoting their services? I love how your attitude went from "Comcast blows, this is why..." to "OMG I'm the Comcast poster boy" overnight.

Pragmatism. I wouldn't give a fuck if it was Osama Bin Laden giving me a 20/10 connection for 33 bucks a month. I'm a bandwidth junkie. I can pull a movie down in 10 minutes and a music album down in less time than it takes to walk to the garage and start the truck.

I wish I had your luck when dealing with Comcast I guess... I'm paying the same amount as you for their "economy" internet package that sucks as is - let alone how it's been acting lately.

They drive me crazy as a company. If there was a decent competitor here in Denver, I'd definitely switch over.
