Fobbon Lazyfoot wrote:By saying that its "just another tick on the geological time scale" you're justifying what the Soviets did to the sea - you're making a moral argument. A really, really poor one, but its still a moral argument.

Since we're going along the logical line of "the future nullifies the present", I hope you get hit by a bus, because you're a biologically doomed entity anyway. I don't feel for you any more than I feel for a small dead rodent or a walrus with AIDS. Just another tick of the cosmic clock, anyway.
No I am saying I don't care what happens to the Aral "sea" because in the end its doomed. The absense of giving a shit is not a moral stand one way or another. You on the other hand wishing me bad fortune is a moral stand......and a really poor one.....but at least it IS a moral stand.

Right now they could go on a resuce mission to save the Aral "sea" and save it.....and I would remain uncarring.

Are you fucking chinese or something?
Chances are the Aral "sea" was doomed anyway.
Key word being
anyway
"Anyway" is a word in English that is often taken to mean "regardless of"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Select was suggesting that this thing is "really bad". I agree, it's "really bad". She even humanized the subject by suggesting that it had "died", even though it wasn't a biological organism, let alone alive, in the first place. She says that the event is bad, you're saying its not bad because it didn't matter anyway. That's a moral statement. Saying you don't care whether something lives or dies isn't any different than saying you want it to die or saying you want it to live, the only difference is enthusiasm.
You on the other hand wishing me bad fortune is a moral stand......and a really poor one.....but at least it IS a moral stand.

I don't care about what happens to you, and you're right, that's a declaration of morality as well.

Key words being
as well

You should quit pretending that what you have to say is important enough for anyone to bother resizing that.
