No cliff hanger of an ending though. I want to see Sam kill Maryanne - she's annoying me.

I think she's gonna get butt-invaded by Eric and his posse but I also think that Sam may have the last kill.

There are a few things bugging me though (not enough to stop watching or things that will make me enjoy the show less) just stuff I've noticed:

Sookie drinking Bill's blood in the second episode only seemed to heighten her senses, make her more amorous.
Sookie drinking Eric's blood heightening her lust.

So, why wasn't Sookie effected like Jason was when he took E?

Eric is a tricky bastard.
Sam is a slippery bastard.
I'm gonna miss Godric, but maybe there will be some flashbacks or something.

It might have to do with the age of the vampire? Jason's vamp was turned only a year or two prior; Bill ~150 years; Eric ~1200-1300 years (do not recall the date given in the flashback to his making).

It turns out Godrick is super-emo and ends up killing himself. 95% of the episode is a boring exchange between characters. Nothing new, and not even a cliffhanger. Shittiest episode ever!

Oh hush, you.

If you were around for 2000+ years, you'd be a little emo too.

I suppose so, but it seemed really over the top. My comment should read more "Godrick is super-emo for 40 minutes, then decides to kill himself."

I thought it was just a really boring episode. Sookie/Jason have a heart-to-heart for a good 15 minutes, cut to more people talking, cut to Godrick with his pale-sad-face, cut to Maryanne "I'll get you Sam you little rascal! *shakes fists*".

I loved Godric, I'm going to miss him too. I knew he wasn't going to last, but I loved his character; the world-weary old emo vamp. Also, best episode ever because - I got to see Eric nuuuuude. That was a pretty hot scene and foreshadows things to come another season or two if the show lasts.
It might have to do with the age of the vampire? Jason's vamp was turned only a year or two prior; Bill ~150 years; Eric ~1200-1300 years (do not recall the date given in the flashback to his making).
I believe that was how it was explained in the book. The older the vamp = the more powerful the blood. With regard to V - old vamp V much more valuable and rare, typically it's all young vamp blood which doesn't have nearly the affect.

I liked a good deal of the episode, seeing Eric begging his maker to live was sweet and made me a little misty-eyed and I liked seeing Hoyt finally stand up to his mega-ton mother.

As usual Tara & Eggs are boring me, so is Sam & Marianne, but it was good to see Lafayette and Tara's drunken momma back on the scene.

Interesting about the blood, but I guess it still bugs me.

Jason and Amy do V from the younger vamp and they hallucinate and have acid-like experiences.
Sookie sucks some of Eric's blood and it's like "whoah, I'm kinda horny" and one dream and that's it. No snow-white birds singing visions here. Just confuses me!

I don't recall the Jason & Amy tripping on V thing happening in the book, so I'm not sure why they added that, it sort of confuses the whole "blood effect" thing.

Interesting. That would account for the discrepancy.

Marianne needs to die. I am just annoyed with her.

Or go away. She's not even an interesting character.

I think it's cool that they have all kinds of supernatural beings, but things seemed so much more interesting when they focused more on the vampire drama, imho.

I like when they focused more on Sookie's power. She hasn't read a mind for us in... 2+ episodes now?? :(

Last time she mind read was when she was in the cage with the traitor guy, iirc. Then again, she has been around a ton of vampires lately, and she cannot read theirs.
