Fun but too short. Just like the first. Combat seemed even easier too.

I loved the first one, I wasn't even aware that ME2 was out already. I'll probably pick it up next time I'm at the store.

I got to play about 2 hours of it last night. Started an Engineer on Insanity. Seems easier than the first game was, so far. Combat is improved, which is a good thing.. though, wtf with the teammate UI? Those little heads are damn hard to keep track of. Half the time I can't tell if they're taking damage or if they're already dead.

I could see ME being a very short game if you like to power through the main story and skip the side content/character development. However in the first one I talked to everyone, fleshed out every story ect and ended around 42 hours per playthrough. I'm a few hours in now and it's awesome. I think combat seems easier because it's not as badly broken as in the first one.

Yeah I did every quest that I could find on the side in the first one and was all wrapped up in about 35hrs.

Now that it's finally unlocked over here...

ME2 seems to have a lot more side content than ME1. The planet scanner is interesting, as is the whole resource collection thing, but it could become tedious after a while (running back to get more probes all the time is a pain). The quests this time seem a little better written too, but it has been a while since I played the first game so I may not be remembering it fully.

Overall though, it's a worthy successor to ME1. If you liked the first, you'll like the second.
