So you're saying Diebold gave him the filing fee?
Well, it’s the Super-Monroe Doctrine: “Get off our oil, people who dress funny!” - M. Bouffant

"You're a bad captain, Zarde. People like you only learn by being touched, and hard. And you will greatly disapprove of where these men put their hands." - M. Vanderbeam.

No I am pretty sure I am saying that the democratic voters of that fine state elected a guy who didn't even campaign and has an "alleged" felony charge hanging over his head.

Who needs Diebold?

Maybe the Democrats in that district are upset with Obama/Reid/Pelosi establishment, and would rather take a deadbeat over someone backed by the Democratic party. Regardless, how did the Dems miss this? They should have pointed out the guys background to make sure the voters knew he was a deadbeat, out of work, living with his mother and facing a criminal charge.

If some Republican operative orchestrated this, wow. Just wow. To just pay a filing fee and get a shitbird elected as the Dem nominee... what a masterstroke, and an embarassment for the Democrat operatives working the other side.

There's no indication yet that Green was a plant or was supported by any outside agency. It's more likely that nobody was familiar with either candidate in this statewide primary so they just picked the first one listed. DeMint wasn't going to be defeated anyways.

Where'd an unemployed guy scrape up the 10K filing fee? Certainly not from the democratic party.

He is a former Soldier, he easily could've saved some of that money since he lives with his mother.

Perhaps.. but more is coming to light...

http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/06/14/ ... tml?hpt=T2

Involuntarily discharged from service... has had to hire lawyers to keep his ass out of jail (which will burn through any savings he may have had from the military)... can't articulate his platform...dodges specific questions about his campaign staff...

But.. he went on a radio show and there was a lot of callers supporting him. Their reason? Sick and tired of establishment-backed candidates who get elected and then do nothing. Who knows? sure smells fishy. And the Dems want a formal investigation now. God help them if the investigation turns out that the voters really did know what they were doing, and this is a repudiation of the incumbents in Washington.

Persoanlly, I think calling for an investigation is the wrong move. Too much downside. Even if they do turn up info that he's a Republican plant, all that shows is the Democrats ineptitude for running a race. I mean, if they can't preotect a hand-picked candidate from a moron like Greene... what's that say about their capability? If all it takes is 10K and finding and out-of-work pervert to derail a Democratic party lead campaign (and all the money thrown down the toilet to boot)... you get my point.
