Meh, manufacturing is up here by quite a bit. We know a little bit about unemployment here, being ground zero for the Reagan Recession in '81 and '82. Things are getting better, just not like the old days. (Which is not surprising, the old days are gone.)

New employment numbers are out, and boy they suck.

Not only was July bad, but the administration had to re-adjust previous months numbers, seems they were off substantially. So the picture is worse now than what it was originally beleived. More and more economists are starting to think we'll be in a double-dip recession soon, long espoused by Roubini (who predicited this recession like Nostradamus)
