Election time is almost here, just about a month away. Currently there are 255 Democrats in the House, 178 Republicans, no Independents and 2 open seats. In the Senate, there are 57 Democrats, 2 Independents and 41 Republicans. Let's focus on the House, which is the most dynamic of the two parts of Congress, and has the most seats in play (all of them).
Anyone care to put a pool bet on this? $100 buy-in (proceeds sent to the winner's selected charity), on the honor system (no need for paypal or that kind of stuff). The bet is one of those "get closest to the number", and would require people participating in the bet to guess the overall mix of Dems and Reps, by seat count, after the election in November. In other words, in order to win the bet, a person must come closer to the final Rep/Dem ratio than any other better. Of the 435 seats in the House, how many of the 435 will be Republican, and how many will be Democrat? The nuance here is that there are other candidates here too, Tea Party, Indepndent, write-ins for the Green party, etc. But the bet is soley about the number of Dems and Reps after the election. Final bet numbers must be in one week prior to the Nov 2nd election day, which is Oct 26th.
Anyone interested?

Correction Mr. President, I DID build this, and please give Lurker a hug, we wouldn't want to damage his self-esteem.
