wtf is this show? It sounds cool. I may check it out. My husband bought me a new bluray for our anniversary and it connects directly to Netflix. SCORE!

I tried to watch Stargate SG1, but the first episode sucked the biggest donger I've ever seen. I don't know WTF is up. Maybe it's the fact that it began in the 90's and has not aged well.

I did like SG Universe. So far, so good. But, I need something more to add to my list here.

I started with SG:U also, but SG:1 is amazing, I'm addicted. It gets a lot better in season 3+ (I'm only on s4)

SG1 will grow on you Allu. I started out with Farscape (which led to my irrational boycott of all things Stargate because I felt like they abandoned Farscape for the more mainstream Stargate) but then I got hooked on SG:Universe, then before watching SG1 I actually watched all seasons of SG:Atlantis - which I like better than SG1, but my guy likes SG1 best, I think he just loves wise ass RIchard Dean Anderson.

Maybe it was my progression into it, I was hooked on the world and concept first with the better parts of the franchise, I don't know, but eventually (I think into Season 2 or so) I really did start to love the SG1 people. Especially in later seasons when actual members of the Farscape cast join SG1 (Claudia Black & Ben Browder).

You've watched Atlantis though haven't you? Because Jason Momoa is in that (Jewel Staite from Firefly joins Atlantis later seasons too).

I haven't watched Atlantis. But, because of Momoa, I'm very tempted. I really like Universe. I'm just having a hard time getting into SG-1. Is that Rico's wife (from 6 Feet Under) as Shau'ri in the first episode?

I did like the dude who defected (teal'c?) He has some awesome potential.

I'd watch Atlantis first, easier to get hooked. Oh man I remember the first episode of SG1 - it was awful!! It gets better, the first season is a bit dated looking, but it does get better.

Though since it was originally on Showtime, that first episode did have bare boobies.
