If you type /claim and /veteran with an old enough account, you get a dragon-looking mount (it's kinda ugly to be honest) and the claim can give you all kinds of little goodies, including a few piece of really nice level-attuned gear, called 'defiant' stuff. For example the leather bracer I got had 10 to all stats, 20 to dex/agi, some resists and roughly 80 HP/mana. Nothing special, but it sure beats nothing and feels nice to a guy who never played past Velious.
Yeah, I think I'd have to pay to get back in. Not gonna be stripped like that after all those years of scrabbling.

We've discussed defiant to death on the Emu sever section, and it tops out at a little weaker than time raid gear.

The defiant armor is cool, but it's really the idea of world loot that I like. I think that's one area where WoW really got it right.

The world loot is nice. Most of what you see randomly while killing stuff doesn't seem 'fantastic', but it's not bad. I've already put aside a bunch of pieces for a ranger alt that I've been considering.

Even though it's painful and my current weapon is better, I've started to re-do my epic. More for a sense of nostalgia than anything. That and I still haven't really explored any of the new areas, so I'm sticking to what I know until I get my bearings. That and I'm pretty sure I have to put it towards getting the epic 1.5 and 2.0 versions as well.

I doubt I'll linger on this more than a month, but for now it's kinda fun to go back to places like Seb and Velks and not have to worry at all. My little tank merc just tears through stuff like nothing.

Hmm, I didn't lose anything on any of my toons. You should check the mailbox npc too since if you had too much stuff for the amount of free inventory slots you get it gets sent to there. I don't remember where it was though, I had to look it up.

So um ya, we logged on...we attempted to play and froggy got himself stuck in the pool in PoK, thankfully Xican came along And ported him out. Anyways new command /rewind must store that nugget of information somewhere. Definitely need new armor our trip to PoD was an epic fail and we are currently camped out in the Dreadlands. Fun Times!

I just solo'd Faydedar. Never thought I'd see the day a druid pulled that off. Especially at level 57. Anyway, managed to do the whole epic, with a merc solo in about 3 days. This game sure has changed. Lol.

Nice! We finally got to playing but we stayed in the 'older' worlds and the druid quad kited again, getting into the swing of things!
