It does feel like that, yes. I still couldn't put all 50 on a map. Everything between Washington and Illinois that's north of Colorado confuses me.

Then again, I couldn't name any states (or provinces) from any other country that isn't Aussie or the US at all! I mean seriously (and these are just regions, not even counties):

Australia is a bit easier, but I seriously wouldn't expect anyone to get them all that wasn't from here:
