Show is still fucking boring. God damn it. Why didn't a good network pick this up. So much potential.

This has been Meh to the Meh. I'm really not a hard sell when it comes to sci-fi, but this is kind of boring. =/

Crazy thing is that all they would have to do to make it even watchable is put some fucking super powered shit in the show. I mean Heroes was horrible. It was terrible acting. The writing was atrocious. But we still watched because at least there were people shooting electricity out of their hands & stuff. This show's reality is set to where you actually expect crazy stuff to be going on but thus far there's been 1 strong nobody dude & 1 fireball guy... the rest has been just a team of boring lifeless idiots making annoying unrealistic conversation. I am thinking they handed Joss Whedon a stack of cash in exchange for them attaching his name to it, because it doesn't seem like he has anything at all to do with it. I mean I can't see something this mundane having his hand in it.

I dunno if I'd agree that it's gotten to a 'good' stand point, but it's definitely improved. They have dropped some of the family-oriented kid gloves some, which is great, and they have began introducing some actual fucking super powered bros (About fucking time). There is still a LOT of room to improve, but it's at least watchable now.

I'm glad NBC is finally letting them take some of the kid gloves off. That bullet hole to the head was the first one I've seen yet, and that whole scene was pretty dark. I really really hope that they let them keep going. I've been screaming for years for the shitty NBC/CBS shows to stop trying to cater to that crowd as AMC/HBO/Showtime hits have proved time & again that it's not as good.

It's too bad the show sucked so much donkey dong in the beginning. The bleeding appears to have stopped, but it isn't shooting up.

At this point I don't really think it matters to Marvel. I believe they are going to keep making a good show and keep tying it in to upcoming movies. It's like a never ending commercial.

There's a point to that, but the potential revenue from the show (if done well) is immense. I mean look at the opening numbers. 5 is some GoT level shit. MEGA bucks.

Because of this thread, I gave it another chance and forced myself to get through the first half of the season - then I was hooked and it got better with each episode. I'm glad it went darker, the show really needed that (Whedon can sometimes get a little too precious with characters). The final 4-5 episodes were awesome. I'm a convert now.

The finale was awesome!

Exactly. My biggest bitch about it in the beginning was that it was too kid gloved (Followed closely by the fact that they didn't have any super anything

). Once they started kicking it up a bit things got great.

P.S. Did anyone else catch the bit about May's age?
