Anyone still on here (as in P99)? Recently ran into a whole heap of real life troubles and had to let myself get sucked back in just as something to keep me distracted from everything for a bit.

Currently playing a Troll Shaman named Thrall.

Now that I'm single again (more below) I can probably get back to dealing with server politics and not have it be nearly as time consuming, so eventually I can get back into the raid scene. Also submitted a petition to try to recover my Magician account. Also have my Necromancer, Turaylon, but he's nekkid.

As a little insight into the issues I've been having:

My (now ex) fiance cheated on me with one of my (former) friends, and her stepdad (who lived with us, in our house, not his) took it upon himself as the perfect time to manipulate her into getting me out of the house. He's been trying to break us up since the relationship started, and I just recently figured out why (almost 100% positive he's been molesting her now 8-year old son, every single sign is there, just never put it together until recently. Don't worry, already informed DCF and the police). He tried picking a fight with me and called the police to have me removed from the house, and when they told him that isn't something that just happens, that there's a process they have to go through, he coerced her into filing a falsified restraining order against me. Thankfully, my parents gave me a place to crash until I can find an apartment, but it's been hell getting through everything and just getting my stuff back. Her stepdad has always been the type to put in his 2 cents where it didn't belong and wasn't wanted, but in all reality her kids are the only ones losing in all of this. I've been debating breaking it off with her for a while, but stayed for the kids so they'd have some sort of male role model to actually look up to that didn't just sit around stuffing his face with iced cream, or pawning them off on a babysitter whenever. She was never appreciative of anything we did together or anything we worked towards together, and it was maddening.

Anyway, yea, I gave in to going back to P99, despite all my issues with the server, though most of the people who were causing them I see have left or were banned. So look up Thrall/Turaylon

Played on p99 mostly pre-Kunark, the raid scene was a race to the bottom though. I think my enc (Herv) is 57 abouts and I hop on a few times a year to poke around. The server population is great, usually above 1000 folks on any given weeknight. In general... you should be able to find a group.

The EQMAC server was such a sweet spot for old world combined with PoK books, but we can't have nice things, a race to the bottom on the end game caused too many customer service requests, so they killed the server.

I am glad I (we) were there for the best of days on Brell, nothing quite like an open Fear/Hate raid (camping to chat to work on strategy or after a wipe) and later on the open Scurvy PoP raids. 72 disparate folks somehow working as a team, good times.

Winter is coming, so you never know!

Definitely been different this time around. Up to level 35, but haven't really been grinding the way I used to. Still making sure I get at least 8 hours of sleep a night, etc., though I'm (hopefully) moving into a new place in December so that may change once I'm not cramped up in my parents' house. Kinda awkward not having my desk set up, having to play on the edge of a bed with my computer set up on the dresser.

Been pretty much just duoing since Oasis with this Warrior I was grouped with there. Just made my first few dozen SoW pots last night and sold all of them for a quick profit.
