I think this board was pretty much on the money - wasn't necessarily a bad idea, but exit strategy and overall cost were severely underestimated. Had the coalition instead planned for a 10-15 year semi-hostile occupation and worked tactics, timing, funding and supply with that in mind then things would have been much different.
