Really good movie with a rather deep meaning. I recommend it completely and would love to discuss it with anyone else that sees it.
4 star movie with a pretty original idea.

Re: Arrival
Haven't seen it, but have read the short story (The Story Of Your Life). Definitely enjoyed it, and enjoyed everything else I've found that Ted Chiang's written.
Unfortunately, probably won't get to see it until Blu-Ray.

Re: Arrival
It was definitely nice to see something coming out of Hollywood that wasn't the same old same old.

Re: Arrival
I loved this movie, but the wife hated it.
I will warn you , the move is long and slow, not in a boring way like lotr with constant walking all over the place, but more showing a preface for the "oh wow' moment at the end of the story. And no, you cant fast forward through it cause then it wont make sense.
get it on dvd so you can pause it to - go to the bathroom, make a sammich , play a round of cribbage
