Well...here we are two years later and they are once again trying to push masking.

Masks (at least in the sense we're talking) won't protect you from shit. Masks protect everyone else from your shit. It's why we've been using them in operating rooms for a century. Having said that, the marginal difference in protecting others if you're not actually sneezing out viruses doesn't seem worth it with current knowledge and variants. I do maintain that if you *are* sick with a cold/flu/covid/whatever then don't be an asshole and wear a mask.

Also, I did say earlier that I'd back the lab-leak theory if US Intelligence gave it credibility. The CIA has now supported the idea as plausible, so I'll have to give you that one. I'm not sold, but gotta give credit to the experts who probably have access to a lot more stuff than I do.

I agree. Modern masking sort of started in Japan. People who are sick wear masks.
