Ok - maybe another time?

Last night I was fixing a computer for a friend of a friend. It turns out that their neighbor owns Emilio's (another mexi-restaurant near Bennys) and the neighbor's father is actually the Benny! I guess they compete over their green chili recipes. Small world.
The Benny is a holy saint in my eyes.

Eh....

Climax was kind of lame.
At least Marianne is gone (for now).
Whoever is plotting out season story arcs needs to stop filling shows with useless crap.

It was kind of anticlimactic.

Bill and Sookie didn't annoy me, though. That's a good thing.

What an annoying, lame and anti-climactic conclusion. I agree, it was the one time Bill & Sookie didn't annoy me. If this episode is any indication of direction for this show, I'll lose interest fast.

Evan Rachel Wood was even worse in this episode, how that was possible after last week's abysmal performance is beyond me. I really wish they'd take her out, recast it or entirely revamp (no pun intended) that role, so she isn't so goddamn lame. The Yahtzee thing is beyond tedious and stupid. Not quirky, not cool ...just boring.

Anyway, one of the worst season finales ever. The only thing I'm looking forward to is where they take Jessica.

I liked how they got rid of Marianne, Sam cleaned up house! His "rip-the-heart-out AniMaLitY" move was awesome. Other than that, there really wasn't much going on.

Yeah, Sam doing that to Marianne was pretty cool, though I have no idea how he knew to do that with her heart (unless Bill told him).

Jessica is awesome. :)

I assume Bill told Sam what the plan was off camera, given the whole 'Sookie trust me' thing.

Jessica got a taste of blood and now she's gonna go on a killing spree, I can only assume it'll be pure awesome.

Kind of a fun interview with Alan Ball after the finale...

Is there anything I’m forgetting to ask you?
BALL: I’m surprised you didn’t ask who took Bill.

Who took Bill?
BALL: It was Hoyt’s mother.
Ha ha.

The finale was kind of suckass. Sam ripping the heart out was awesome, as was the BOOM HEADSHOT on Eggs. Other than that, kind of a snoozer.

Yeah, the writers have totally failed at making Eggs a sympathetic and interesting character. Therefore his headshot moment was more, "oops, hahaha" than "awww" for me.

I was never a big fan of eggs. It didn't even seem like he was around all that long, and the time he was around he was under Mariannfluence most of the time. Why was Terra so omg-in-love with him?

I didn't like Eggs at all, so his death was pretty "meh" to me. He just wasn't likable or interesting and he really didn't have any redeeming qualities....well, other than his bod. Also, that name bugged the shit out of me. Eggs??? Call him Ben or something, but "Eggs" --> bleargh.

Tara was lonely, she had been carrying a torch for Jason for years and along comes (what she viewed as) a good, strong man that loved her. She was also under Marianne's influence, so I'm sure that had something to do with the bond/attraction.

I thought they didn't remember anything while under the influence? It just seemed weird to me that they hung out "sober" for like one episode then she's all in love with him after. Maybe it was more than one episode - I'll have to watch season 2 over again some time.

Ugh. Why would you want to? Yeah there were a few decent episodes in there, but overall? S2 sucks balls. And not in the way I would reccomend to a friendly fellow ranter such as yourself.

Resurrecting the True Blood thread, as I just finished watching Season 1 today. Honestly, I don't get the hype behind this show. It's alright, but it's not OMG MUST WATCH NAO! or anything. Pretty much everyone has told me that I'd love this show like I love Dexter, but umm.. True Blood doesn't even hold a candle to Dexter, imo.

I like it better than Dexter, to each his own.

I like True Blood a lot more than Dexter. Dexter was great for like 5 episodes then it got kind of redundant and boring. So you kill bad people and you are a cop, great! Oh... that's the entire series? Zzzzz

You forgot the "Oh you narrowly escape getting caught again", which happens every episode.....

I still watch it, it's decent, but it's not the most exciting show. His scenes with Rita and the kids bore me to tears.
