i checked into morrowind, it looks pretty good. I always heard bad things about BG but i assume it was probably from pre-pubescents

Morrowind is solo, not group, and first person. Fights are more realtime than BG, but it's primarily an RPG. World is huge and there's an insane number of side questing available. Definitely one of the best CRPGs around, which is why I'm looking forward to Oblivion so much.

I tried Fable: The Lost Chapters, but couldn't get into it enough to want to play past training him as a kid. It felt too harry potter for my taste.
There we go, flippin' unpredicitable verses, and curse the first words like tourettes on purpose.
