Meh, I've never been one to listen to someone ramble about opinions. When it comes in the form of shouting & flying spittle it is offensive & makes sure your point falls on deaf ears. If your opinion is different than mine, fine, but tell me why. Show me why. Embar used to make some good points, but he would state reasons. Even if I didn't agree, at least I could see where he's coming from. Lately his posts seemed to be fueled more by blind anger & bitterness than any actual facts. I swear I thought of this when I read this originally.

Here's my point(s) Minute.

Obama made a lot of promises and statements about how things were going to happen. Closing of Gitmo. Re-focus on the horrendous unemployment and sputtering economy. People can amke all the excuses for him they want... he inheritied it... it was Bush's fault...its a different kind of recession... its a different wolrd economic model now... whatever.

But Obama knows all that and he still is putting his dick on the line and telling the American public he has a plan. He really hasn't articulated the specifics of that plan though, has he? Most of Obama's plans involve the creation of a commission or the appointment of a czar. But nothign really has changed, has it? Unemployment is still sky high. Job growth is anemic. Gitmo is still alive and well. And now he's committing troops and money to the war in Libya and claiming that drone strikes and dropping bombs on Gaddafi's forces aren't really hostilities, so he doesn't need the approval of Congress.

Where is the Medicare and Medicaid reform that was supposed to happen (remember that's how the majority of his Obamacare plan is supposed to be paid for). The forclosure prevention fund ($10 billion dollars worth) is a catastrophic failure, and he has no plan B. He lies about oil imports. He lied about not supporting a single-payer health system. He lied about not raising taxes. He lied about where he gets his campaign dontations.

Vacation policy aside.. what has this guy really accomplished in his first term? I'll give him this much... getting Bin Laden and making that gut check call showed a flash of leadership I didn't expect from Obama. I also commend his credit card reform efforts. As for the stimulus... no. I don't beleive it helped the way it was hyped, and regardless, it didn't move the unemployment percentages in a way Obama promised. As for Obamacare, many legal analysts are viewing the latest appeals court activity as a sign that the individual mandate will be declared unconstitutional, and without that (and the promised but non-existant Medicare reforms) Obamacare is dead. In fact, since some of the provisions related to accepting just about anyone for coverage, I guarantee you rates for everyone will go up. He didn't have the balls to suggest that maybe we should price insurance on lifestyle choices. You smoke, you drink, you are obese, you engage in high-rsik sports.. you pay more for insurance. But I digress.

Obama has not accomplished much of merit. That's my real point. I guess it doesn't matter how many vacations he takes really, since he's just about as effective at leading the country when he's absent than when he's sitting in the Oval Office.

I'm not going to bother rehashing the last three years of who proposed what solutions and which party blocked who's agenda. It's an absolute fact that the Republicans saw political advantage in sabotaging the recovery and they did so. We discussed it often in real time as it was happening.

This is just too ignorant, too perfect an example of you, to ignore.

You ask this question repeatedly and then stick your head in the sand when it's answered. You even attempted to attack Obama for the Medicare reform without realizing it was the what he had promised. The changes the ACA made to Medicare are happening. It's not our fault if you choose to ignore them.

And Minute, Embar has been making these sorts of irrational Drudge inspired Obama sucks posts for years now, and they are always as vacuous and infantile as this one.

But in an unusual rebuke, an umbrella group representing premier organizations such as the Mayo Clinic wrote the administration Wednesday saying that more than 90 percent of its members would not participate, because the rules as written are so onerous it would be nearly impossible for them to succeed

Embar, you don't understand the issue. It's almost as if you are just casting around for things to attack Obama.

You've said there were no changes to Medicare in the same breath you attacked Obama for making changes to Medicare. Yes... you are that ignorant about this.
These changes have already happened, they were scored by the CBO and they are being used to fund the ACA.

The article you just linked pushback during the planning phase for additional reforms to Medicare doesn't negate the fact that there have already been reforms. Duh.
