Depending on Turdy, may roll warrior/rogue/hunter (3 classes I've never played). I love tanking so warrior could be where it's at! :P

Good times. I'm a PvP virgin so this looks fun.

Out sick today from work ... I might just level up a bit.

Is this server going to be around a while? I'd hate to level up a toon and have the server go away...

All mods for 1.12.1 at that link. (Second link is a .rar, third is a .zip... they're all the same thing though).

Yea they're client-side. You download them then extract the files to C:>Program Files>World of Warcraft>Interface>Addons. After that, at the character select screen there will be an 'Addons' button in the bottom corner, click it, hit 'Load out of date addons' and check off whichever addons you want to run, then enter world.

Few more people joined today. We're still the best guild on the server.
I'd like to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my ass.

I played a little bit during the beta and release, but don't think I ever made it passed level 20ish. If ya'll are doing this, I might just pop in occasionally. I haven't got the time to do anything full time right now, unfortunately.

What do you guys lack the most? Rogue, Warrior, Druid? I dunno what the hell a death knight is, but it sounds pretty badass.

Shadowknight, essentially. I'm not sure they are available on this server though as I (think) it's starting from the original WoW and DKs weren't introduced until a couple expansions later.

Seems like the loot sucks. I'm almost level 10 and I haven't seen anything good drop. Is that cause it's an emulated server or is that because of the expansion?

I'm skilling up herbalism (duh) and alchemy if anybody needs potions. Right now I'm just vendoring most of it because of bag space.

Ahhh. I R TEH N00B.

Not much play time here but I'm taking a day off tomorrow so I may get a good chunk of play time.

Oh, and there are green items in the game. I've killed a couple nameds and opened a couple chests.

Loot sucks because the really good stuff comes from dungeons, and the population is too spread out to really do dungeons right now. Going to take a week or so for things to really pick up.

Whatever you'd have the most fun playing. Death Knight wasn't available until Wrath of the Lich King. Me, Freecare, and Fallakin all have the capability to guild invite you so send one of us a tell if you get on (Dread, Freecare, or Neekah).

I'm having a really good time. A higher population would be nice but it's kinda cool to get a bunch of quests done in peace and quiet. When the wife and I played about 6 years ago it seemed like we couldn't kill a single quest mob without getting ganked by like 10 people. I've been camping a few chests and I'm actually geared OK for my level.

I'm just trying to find some time to play. :x Hopefully the evenings this week won't be too busy.

I hit the burnout point, took Friday off from work (and from stuff around the house) and mostly just played WoW for 3 days straight. Even dropped a couple blue loot items today!

Man I really needed that down time. Looking at my calendar it's going to be at least a couple months before I can do that again :(

Is there anywhere I can find the initial client? I have all my CDs buried somewhere in a box and don't feel like searching for 'em. Haha. I'll roll up a warrior most likely. I was never that into WoW, but it's worth a shot, I guess.

Ah, big fail on my part, Freecare. Haha. I try to avoid piratebay, but I guess I'll have to give it a shot.

Sweet, hope to see you there Xican!

The landing page for that download link has very detailed instructions and the first link in the thread is what you need to create an account and get the server name that you'll plug into whatever that text file is named. I think start to finish I was playing on the server in about 30 minutes.

None of my antivirus stuff went off when I installed it and no one I know has had any issues.

I've got a date this week (so I have to clean my house because it's a disaster) and I'm going to do the LARP thing this weekend so I won't be on probably until next Monday.

Everything seems to be running smoothly and the server owner seems really cool from seeing him talk in global chat. All in all I'm really impressed so far. My gaming experience is more on par with giving a subscription to a big company and not some guy with a box hooked up in his house. He's doing a superb job.

I haven't played Rift because the missus has too much pain in her hands and we've done all the quests together. She keeps insisting someday she'll want to play so for now I'll just keep doing this.

Plus, the graphics aren't so bad running 1920x1080 with everything cranked up to the max. Still a little cartoonish for my taste but the world looks much better than I remember it on our average gamer rigs 6 years ago.
