This analogy isn't worth a shit. Why? Because you have NO idea why that group went after the Va'Dyn. People have made suggestions (orb of luclinite), but they're only guesses and assumptions. In truth, nobody has ever asked what the group of Enshadowed was after. Sure, they may have been doing it "because they can" or they may have been "twinking an alt" or hell, maybe they had a friend that needed a Skybreaker, or such. *shrug*

Regardless, Relbeek, you are making assumptions as to "needs" and suggesting that a single group was going after something that one of them could have solo'd. Not the case at all... Invalid analogy.

If Enshadowed brought a raidforce in to kill the Va'Dynn while moving past others who were clearing, I could understand the knee-jerk reaction here. But this isn't a rant on Enshadowed as a guild, it's a rant on a group of individuals who "didn't show respect" and give up a mob to someone else. Sure, everyone quickly proclaims not only "those people" assholes, but the entire guild! That's logical? heh *shrug*

Since no one who was actually involved cares anymore, anyone who is posting negative things about either side must have some sort of grudge against Aftermath or Enshadowed, and are just using this incident to grind their ax. I don't consider all of Endshadowed to be represented by the actions of these people, but I hope that they're as reasonable as Meadas was. I regret that we didn't start talking sooner, you morons would never have seen this.

I've been hearing about this thread for a few days so I thought I'd stop by. For some of us who play this game for rest and relaxation from a hectic daily life, I'll say this. Yes, some of the guild acts childish at times. Yes, people outside the guild act childish at time. Yes, people in real life act childish at times. If you're getting my common message here, you'll understand that all you can control is your own self judgement. There's a vast mixture of personalities all bottled up in this game, like real life. You deal with it in your own way.

I choose to see the finer points of being in Enshadowed. I enjoy the game and enjoy the entertainment value I get out of being in the guild. I put my own investment in and I feel I get a great return value from what the guild offers. I couldn't see any other guild providing me the most "bang for the buck".

This rant board is much like the entertainment value I get within the guild. I chuckle at the stupidity, intelligence, comedy, faithfulness, hypocresy, friendliness, backstabbing, etc... We're a diversified guild and I wouldn't like any other.

Why did I come here? To say that there's a diverse group of members that make up Enshadowed. Get to know all of us before you label it. You've seen just a "minute" part of what it has to offer:)

Loon, you dont think its right to base the opinion that the entire guild of Enshadowed are a bunch of assholes because of "one group", and on that fact alone, i would agree with you.

The problem is, many people, in the game and on this board, have seen repeatedly that members of Ensh. pay very little attention or care if other people in the game are going for a particular mob/camp/etc. There have been numerous rants on behaviour very similiar to this in other zones, mobs, etc. If it were just this ONE group, i would agree with you that thinking the entire guild is assholes is wrong; but when it happens multiple times by different "one groups", you begin to see a pattern. And its usually never the same people in these groups. If it were just one person, or one group even, and it had only happened one time, i could see the "guild" looking past it and shrugging their shoulders over it, but the amount of times things like this has happened; we are getting close to half the guild roster in participants in asshat behaviour.

When a significant portion of an organization of people behave in a certain way, then you can rightfully call that entire group of people by the particular adjective which describes them; in this case, asshats.

I have a couple friends in Ensh, and every time i see a group of their members do things like this, i cringe at thinking about them still being in the guild and pray i dont see their name among the ones involved in the incident, because i'd hate to have my opinion of them deminished by the behaviour i see.

But in the end, its like Burz and a few othes have already said. They as a guild dont care what anyone on this board thinks, and this entire thing is just a joke to them. /shrug, it is rather amusing entertainment

You're right Tanari. As a guild, we don't care what is posted here. This board has always been a place to vent more than anything. I tend to care about enjoying myself with friends in the game. Surely there's some merit to know who the asshats are around so you can avoid them. However, you're going to find them in any game, any guild, and any real life circumstance. Is Enshadowed a bunch of saints? No.. Neither is any guild in my opinion. As a guild, you're analogy doesn't float. If you crunch the numbers, our play style is like anyone else. The number of rants we receive compared to the number of raids we do is minimal. Have twiggie run the statistics for you, if need be. It's just that when they do occur, they get not only blown out of proportion but some of our members play with it to keep it afloat. It's entertaining to watch.

Regarding the asshat delineation, I would have placed yourself in the asshat category. I still to this day tie your name to Fenye, yet I don't consider you an asshat. It would have been much more easier to delineate in a group of two, then it would be to delineate a guild of 70.
