Re: True Blood
And when the fuck are they going to get back to the Fairy shit? Hello, writers - you can't just start the season off with some huge shit like that, then drop the entire fucking storyline completely! WTF? I mean, they wasted Jason for half the season on the Werepanther storyline that wasn't going to go anywhere on account of the fact that were-ism is apparently 100% genetic. They dropped that entire story, apparently, and do they have any intentions of getting back to the Fairy realm and what the hell's going on there?
And Sookie's dream with Bill & Eric = gay. The last thing the show needs is more retarded love triangle bullshit. They ended the Sookie + Bill relationship, it's time to move the fuck on.
I'm starting to agree that this season isn't very good at all. They're having a great deal of difficulty keeping cohesive stories going, and the only consistently interesting one is Marnie/Antonia, but even that's starting to wear thin and could quickly turn into another Maryann from season 2.

Re: True Blood
They've fucked up the storyline completely from the books, from what I've been told.
In the books: Jason = werepanther, this fairy shit was non-existant and the Witches were against both the Vamps and Werewolves. Then again, I haven't read the books and only go off what my wife has told me was in them.

Re: True Blood
Do you mean just this season or the series entirely? Because there is a ton of fairy shit in the books, it's just not a focal point in the 4th book (Dead to the World). Her grandfather or great-grandfather is a fulll-blooded fairy, so she is part fae and that's a big part of the whole Sookie-lore, it's where her powers come from and why vampires are so attracted to her (they love them some fae blood) etc.
This season does follow some of the primary elements and events of the book, but kind of blows on the details. Jason should be a werepanther for one. So you got that right.

Re: True Blood
Just this season in relation to book 4, not the series of books as a whole.
I don't remember her complaining a lot about season 1 or 2 in terms of relation to the books.. 3 was more than them but much less than it has been so far this season.

Re: True Blood
haha yeah pretty stupid stuff. Just got caught up here, liking what they are doing with the Necromancers but that's about it.Jarochai Alabaster wrote:Latest episode = yawn.
I especially hated the "after-school special" vibe surrounding the end of Lafayette's stupid ghost plot line. "We just saw a miracle!" Fucking please, bitches. At least that shit's over now...hopefully.
I was hoping Tommy would turn into a polar bear and eat all the warewolves in that one scene. Instead, he just gets the shit beat out of him. zzzz
Sookie's 3some dream was pretty retarded. She is basically choosing to sit there and chat about her love life. zzzz If I got to choose my dreams I'd be flying around space shooting lasers out my elbows.

Re: True Blood
Maybe Jason will still turn?
I heard in the books that Jason ends up with Crystal. (Vomit) He's so much better with Jessica.
Also, and thanks, True Love, for making a 3-way with Eric and Bill look boring and stupid as shit. Sam's getting hotter and hotter the way these other fuckwits are becoming more and more lame.
Except for Alcide.
He's god. He needs to tear everyone up and just be Alcide.
Oh, and Debbie. She's such a glorious hot mess.
Why are all the WW pack masters such raging ass-goblins?

Re: True Blood
Yeah that season isn't over so they could turn him, and I hope they put him with Jessica and just skip the lame Crystal stuff - everything about their storyline in the books is just zzzzZZzzzz every day white trash events, with just werewolves....so interesting. Jessica could end up with him, because she's not even a character from the Southern Vampire books.
Layfayette was killed in like book 1 so his entire storyline isn't something from the books. Maybe that's why it's so incredibly lame.
I agree with you, Bill is looking more attractive the lamer everyone else gets.

Re: True Blood
In the books, Sophie-ann was actually a really interesting and powerful character, but TV Sophie is just a spoiled, impulsive and shitty business-woman. She was supposed to be this 1,100 year old french vampire that was turned at 15 and also a very powerful leader/businesswoman who had an uncanny knack for keeping all the vampires she turned very close and devoted to her. Her progeny LOVED her and were super loyal. Evan Rachel Wood doesn't give the impression she has any of the qualities the book version did.
That's probably why she bugs me SOOOOO much, but I do think they did a very good job casting (and being true to the book characters) with Sookie, Bill & Eric.

Yeah, that doesn't sound like E.R. Wood at all, imho.
I wonder who would have made a better Sophie-Ann

Guess who's back...
Back again.
Eric's back...
Tell a friend...
And the chance of us getting to see "old" Eric and Sookie go at it? Probably nil. Fuck!

I do like having old Eric back and if it were true to the book, they would totally still get it on ...with complications of course, but man they have her so Bill-fixated at the moment, I don't know where they are going to go.

Re: True Blood
Yeah, I dig Bill now, but GTF over it, Sookie. Go have some Fangoria chain sex with Eric... then, when you're finished, Alcide is there... get some of that.Harlowe wrote:I do like having old Eric back and if it were true to the book, they would totally still get it on ...with complications of course, but man they have her so Bill-fixated at the moment, I don't know where they are going to go.
Alcide.. yeah.

Re: True Blood
Bill is much, much more interesting this season. There is another Southern Vampire book that came out, I think in May or June, that I haven't finished yet

Seriously. I saw this on reddit the other day (although a better quality one I can't find now) and was laughing. Werepubes, rawr.Alluveal wrote:Alcide.. yeah.

ogod. I've found that shit pretty boring since day 1. The only relationship I've liked so far in the show was between Russell Edgington and his late boyfriend. No ridiculous mickey mouse shit there.Harlowe wrote:Hidden Information!

Re: True Blood
WTF is Alcede doing? Rooting around with his foot.
And yes, please, more Alcide pubes.
Though, when I saw him next to Joel McHale on The Soup, I thought, "Damn he looks smaller."
Maybe Joel is tall?

Re: True Blood
This last episode seemed very day time soap opera. There were some cool scenes, however. I liked the heart rip-and-suck Eric did. I'm wondering where the Fairy/Witch (I still don't get the interaction here from the first episode in the season) wanting to sleep with Andy will go. Only 1 episode left in the season already!
