Russell is awesome. He should be the authority. They must never kill him. Ever.

It is getting interesting, I admit. Sam has been through some serious stuff, though.

Okay guys, the show is getting better and better this season and I honestly think it's all about Russell. Maybe about Eric and Bill together (because they're kinda funny, I have to admit).

I'm definitely looking forward to new episodes this season! I'm wondering where they are going to go since it seems like "the authority" is disbanding or whatever. Russell makes the show this season!

WTF was that? (The finale)

It was like a bunch of juggalos knocked off a meth cooker and decided to remake an old rerun of Charmed.

I'm so fucking confused.

My group and I that watch had the same exact reaction. Usually they have a pretty decent season finale but this was just stupid.

Russell dies?! What? All that character development, then he just dies in a 10 second scene where you can't even really tell what happened? Did he explode from a fairy overdose? Did Eric stab him? WTF my favorite character in the show is gone?!?!

I thought the "Sam getting swallowed as a fly then exploding her face apart as he shifts back" part was pretty hilarious though.

Yeah, Sam was actually the best part of the season, IMHO. And his fly-death was awesome. He should do that with all Vamps. I don't know why Sam doesn't just turn into big, fucking badass animals like a Rhino. Isn't a rhino's horn made of wood? Then he could run around and stake fangers.

Or, why not turn into a grizzly bear or something that would kick your ass? Maybe he needs to come into contact with the animal first, I don't know. Just go to the zoo, yo. Travel to Africa and get some cobra action going (would he have venom?).

I wonder why shifters aren't ruling the frackin' world. They rock!

I'm upset about Russell too. He and Steve were my favorite t.v. couple. So awesome together. But Steve's still alive, right? He'll be back.

At least fun Eric is back and Pam isn't dead. Pam needs her own show. Just Pam-one-liners.

Worst season of any show ever.
Warlord Fallakin Kuvari - 85 Wood Elf Warrior, Brell Serilis forever.
Grandmaster Nikallaf Kuvari - 70 Iksar Monk.

I really didn't see any glaring problems with anything this season. It all ramped up nicely throughout, even if it was anticlimactic in the finale. Sure as hell still better than Season 2 was, by a long shot. I think the only disappointment was Russel's pathetic death scene.

From http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes ... tion/1178/
Unlike the horns of most animals, which have a bony core covered by a relatively thin layer of keratin, rhino horns are keratin all the way through — although the precise chemical composition of the keratin will vary depending on a rhino’s diet and geographic location. This fact has allowed ecologist Raj Amin of the Zoological Society of London and his colleagues to take “fingerprints” of horn samples and determine the animal populations they came from, which has helped law enforcement officials target and crack down on poaching.

Rhino horns are not, as once believed, made simply from a clump of compressed or modified hair. Recent studies by researchers at Ohio University using computerized tomography (CT) scans, have shown that the horns are, in fact, similar in structure to horses’ hooves, turtle beaks, and cockatoo bills. The studies also revealed that the centers of the horns have dense mineral deposits of calcium and melanin — a finding that may explain the curve and sharp tip of the horns. The calcium would strengthen the horn while the melanin would protect the core from being degraded by ultraviolet radiation from the sun. As the softer outer portion was worn away over time by the sun and typical rhino activities (bashing horns with other animals, or rubbing it on the ground), the inner core would be sharpened into a point (much like a wooden pencil).
I would have guessed bone like other horns, but whatever. Silly Rhinos.

As far as True Blood goes... I'm disappointed about Russell, amused by Pam, and not sure where the whole Bill thing is going. I read that Season 6 is only going to be 10 episodes which probably means they will have to pack even more confusing storylines into each one. Bleh.

It's been declining since the first two seasons, but really the books are pretty much mental junk-food, so it's not like it has great source material. I don't know if this a good thing or a bad thing, but Alan Ball is stepping down as showrunner after this season (he'll be with it in an advisory capacity). He says True Blood is the show he's proudest of, but I think Six Feet Under, was far better show.

I didn't want to start a new thread because I feel dirty even admitting this, but, I watched the 2nd Twilight last night because I was bored out of my mind, and, well, it was on.

And seriously . . . what the flaming hell?

The first hour was Bella turning into Emo girl. I have no reason to live. I shall never love again. I lay around all day. I try to kill myself so I can see the spirit of my sparkling ex boyfriend who left to keep me safe.

Then, I lead this other dude along (who's a werewolf) and am generally shitty to him because of my emo angsty bullshit.

And I go back and forth 2-3 times. And that's hour 2.

The ONLY cool thing in the whole flick was the werewolf deal. The wolves were BADASS. But everything else sucked so hard. I don't get it. Why do people eat this shit up? I'll probably watch the next two because I want to see the werewolves again.

On another note, I watch the Vampire Diaries and I don't care what the fuck you think.

The wolves are the second only reason to watch it - the first reason, is that it makes the Rifftrax for it (when it comes out) that much funnier when you've watched them first in their entirety.

Lu, I watch Vampire Diaries as well. :D

I need to try this Rifftrax thing. ASAP. How many super closeups do we need of Bella and Jacob? Hi can you smell my breath? I bet you can. Let's not kiss, but get super close and invade one another's personal space all the time.

As for the Vampire Diaries, hell yeah. I watched all the seasons I could on Netflix and was surprised at how addicting it was. Sure, it's CW and there is teenage angst, but the cool storylines make up for that. And Damon Salvatore.

(sighs dreamily, hugging her teenage diary with hearts around his name)

My only complaint is Klaus. I feel like he's so over the top evil. How many times do I have to hear, "I'll kill everyone you love if you don't do what I say?"

The new vampire hunter is kind of awesome, though.

And where the hell is Katherine? I need some super bitch (that's not Rebecca, even though I feel sorry for her a lot).

Oh, and my hair dresser looks like Nina Dobrev (Elena). I mean, dead ringer.

(squealy girl time!)

This is very true.

I saw the first Twilight movie and thought it was pretty boring. I've seen a couple previews for the new twilight and I have no idea what is going on now. They can fly around and there is a giant supernaturals war or something going on? I'll probably download and watch it next year..

Their emo powers make them fly high so they can fall and cry and say things like, "you don't understand me," and "I don't want to hurt you with my sadness."

Then, the vampire leaders come and try to blow people up with their minds and Dakota Fanning acts like she just took a bunch of quaaludes and shit.

Then the werewolves arrive and you stand up and go, "YAY!" because they don't do a lot of talking. They just turn into the giant direwolves from Game of Thrones and tear shit up. But when they turn back into humans, they're all super hot Native Americans, except for that guy from Dances with Wolves. He probably dies.

Watch Vampire Diaries with us, Tax.
