I really don't have the time to get into this seriously, but I do have a few questions regarding P1999. What if any changes have they made? In particular, is it the exact same content, no additional quests, etc. or did they implement stuff of their own? Also, is the experience rate still the same?
I toyed with the idea of getting into this, but I don't know that I have the effort level required to actually get leveled up if it's the same growth rate as live had. It took me like 3 years to hit 60 the first time around and that was with significantly more time available to me.
Any Brell / CT old schoolers been hitting P1999?

From what i have seen it appears to be identical to what Live was during 2000 (kunark era). Exp also seems to be the same. I have been playing the odd hour here and there for a week or so and i have just scraped up to lvl 10 so its not gonna be a race as my game time is limited. The fun part are the memories like the noobie yards and towns are all full again. EC with 150 peeps in it, the tunnel full of traders. People still running round in cloth with FS weapons and the devilish CRs with EXp loss......man i fogot how mean they were. All in all its good fun again but this time around i do not take the leveling up seriously as i dont have that kind of time

With more Brell folks checking out P99 the past month, it's been a lot of fun. Not sure how long the honeymoon is going to last, but it's definitely fun right now. There is also a nice mix of players in the returning old school folks - people leveling like crazy, people playing super casual, people more interested in crafting and farming components...so there seems to be opportunity to play with cool people no matter what level of play you are interested in.
I'd say if you have any interest in dabbling in the classic environment, there is no better time than the present for playing with Brell people.

Yeah, for me I'm in no hurry to get experience (but with the double XP weekend, it was nice to get out of a hell level or two). I'm honestly having more fun exploring and such. I just can't dedicate the same amount of time to it. Like Harlowe said, it's different when you have a guild and others who are of your level. Whether your group with them or not, it's nice seeing the green guild chat up there.

I been bangin around p99 for a lil while off and on, I started on blue and was enjoying it, but a friend I met on there asked me to roll up on red with him one day, and I been havein a gd blast on that server. Not havein a extreme amount of playtime, and the xp bonus on red was a win/win
took me like a 3/4 weeks to get my druid on blue to 34, took like 7 days to get my druid to 44 on red -- worth.
