My bf's brother is engaged. His fiancée is Native American (forgetting the tribe ) and she wants to do a traditional wedding. She's focusing more on the cultural aspect of it rather than anything spiritual. She's also trying to throw in some of her fiance's heritage by having bagpipes and other Scottish things mixed in. One interesting tradition she wants to do has the "escorts" dance around their female partners and if they make the woman laugh, it means she accepts the guy. (They're omitting the "officialness" of that tradition too. ) This is a tangent, but I think it's interesting to acknowledge your heritage while tossing the religion if you don't buy into it.
My wedding party kept growing. I wanted 2 groomsmen, but my wife wanted 3 bridesmaids. She said I had to have 3 groomsmen. I said there are 2 other guys that I would ask. You cant make me choose between my friends like that. It will have to be 4 groomsmen and 4 bridesmaids. She says I can't pick between 2. We have to have 5. At that point I think we both realized it was getting out of control.
And that's how I ended up with nearly most of the Minnesota ranters in my wedding.
Relbeek was my best man. The other 4 were Maltheos, Leewei, Eidolon, and SicTim AKA Tim Mitchell.
