Knowing myself and my previous experiences with MMOs, I know better than to re-install. What is that moderation thing everyone talks about?! Oh well. It does sound really fun though, I enjoy reading about y'all playing again for sure.

Xilly, I'm actually surprised. I know that the 10 kill quests alone are good for almost exactly two AA if you're between 1000 and 1500, and I also spent a lot of time getting regular XP. But I got really good at that spot -- I started there before I was high enough level to HS the nymphs, and had to molo them with a Cleric merc. I was there so long that certain guildies mocked me for it. Heh.

Stuff you probably know, but just in case: Headshotting is about volume, not XP per kill. I didn't make all that plat off 10 or 20 kills either. The great thing about the Wind Nymphs and Minos are that they spawn so quickly, and there are so many, that you can kill continuously with no downtime. Be sure and use a mount, so you never run out of mana with just vinelash, hail of arrows, and root for strays. Add in called shots line when you get it -- it works in effect like another HoA for headshotting -- so we get two spells which fire off four arrows at once. Use the fastest bow you can get your hands on. (I do have a Bow of the Destroyer, so maybe that skews my view.) Max the Trick Shot AA, which is double attack for bows.

I'm still in Field of Scale. I counted yesterday, and I have 36 of the Halloween ornaments on me, and 8 of the petite fear shards already. That's a lot of dead leezards.

You always could, you just had to be stationary.

I ought to log in and join another guild just so EQ will finally die....but I couldn't leave the few people still in Divine Aura if I did log back in. /sigh

Hello,

Just saw EQ went f2p so I hounded CSR (who were fantastic) and finally was able to install and log in for a bit. I hadn't played since DAoC came out. I don't know if I'm going to play much but it was really cool to see my first mmo chars again in all their n00b glory. I had forgotten I gave away most of my gear/coin lol.

If you had any interest in actually playing EQ Eanwen, they have a bunch of free stuff for old accounts. You can get basically a full set of gear that is all ridiculously powerful compared to anything we had back in the day. I went back a little while ago just to explore some of the new lands and such. Was kinda fun.

Sidenote; is DAoC still around? I really enjoyed that game for a while. I wish it would go F2P.

DAoC is still around but they haven't gone f2p. Kinda weird that SWTOR went f2p before DAoC (or EQ IIRC). I wanted to check that out too but I'm not paying for it. :P

I have more plat on my level 10ish monk than I do on my 51 paladin (I'm guessing I gave away everything that wasn't bound to that character) but I think I saw the armor you're referring to under character->claims (or something like that), so I might grab that.

Happy Easter!

I actually had a totally opposite experience with customer service. They pretty much told me to fuck off because I forgot my password and someone changed my secret question on me. They refused to do anything without the secret question answer, even though I have original credit card info.
I'd like to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my ass.

There's some sojo floating around. I ran into Aatmaa last week!

Honestly the old guard are just hanging out, running through old expansions having a good time. No pressure.
