bring out the entire bill he voted against not just a line item detail that was probly thrown in there with a bunch of CRAP in order to get the crap passed, or to make it look like instead of voting against the CRAP they are voting against the one or two good details in there.
Bahccster... let me tell you how these things work.
If Kerry sees a bill that includes transferring $1.5 billion from intelligence to, say, border patrols, the GOP will say "KERRY VOTED TO CUT $1.5 BILLION FROM INTELLIGENCE"
If some Republican attaches a $300 billion pork barrel project to a $10 billion for B2 Bombers project, and Kerry says "It's not worth the pork" and votes against it, the GOP will say "KERRY VOTED AGAINST THE B2 BOMBER".
Reports of voting records can be twisted and distorted very, very easily. Using the GOP as your primary source is very, very foolish if you're looking for the truth.
Bahccster,
Kerry didn't 'vote against those things'. He voted against an appropriations bill for the entire defense budget because he supported a different funding bill. McCain has also voted against appropriations bills. To claim Kerry voted against those things, you'd have to say Bush wanted to close down all roads when he threatened to veto the highway appropriations bill. Hope you don't feel too stupid.
you know Lurker last I heard I am within my rights to have an opinion, although it may differ from yours its still an opinion. You can post and call me all types of names but its not going to matter i'll still disagree with you and you will still disagree with me. Theres a differance between you and I though, i can disagree in a non-attacking way, and you can only disagree by personal name calling and trying to undermine me.
Bahccster, you're bringing up issues of fact as well as opinion. And on the facts, you're simply put, wrong. And if you're basing your opinion on those facts, you need to reevaluate.
Anyone (liberal or conservative) here generally gets their ass handed to them when they just parrot partisan talking points.
If you can't back up your "opinion" with the rationale for reaching it, you're better off sitting on your candidate's shoulder asking for crackers.... or bend over and enjoy the ride.
I do know what you mean about voting against some bills that include lets say Weapons and they alway throw something dumb in there and alot of times it get voted against because of that thing they threw in. Please link me a site that is not leaning towards any side so that i can see what he has voted for, I dont mind admitting when im wrong.
