Anyone want to start a Kunark old farts club?

For some reason I want to re-live my lack of a social life, and have this strange desire to make a character on CT and play in Kunark/Old World.

I realize that there are retro servers, but I would expect that the old zones are desolate on a regular server, and I kind of like that. I mean, as fun as a 90 person Karnor's Castle buffet was, no thanks.

Rules:

-New characters only
-No gear, spells, etc that weren't around in Kunark era or before.
-Twinking is allowed only when the character is first created (with kunark or before gear only), but no powerleveling, or other outside help.
-No bazaar, nexus, plane of knowledge, any of that shit.

We could pick times for groups, in whatever zones we chose. If we get enough people, maybe we can get our epics.

Anyone with me or will I be rocking lake of ill omen alone?

That does sound pretty fun, I'd be all for it fi my crapass CPU would run EQ...should be ok in a couple weeks though (I hope). Although stuff of major importance for decent drops like the dragons are are like perma-camped now.

Naggy and Vox are up all the time. It's only Sev and Gore who are permacamped, but the golems in fear are insanely overcamped.

Sev and Gorenaire weren't in O.G. kunark anyway, so no problem.

I guess we'll have more of an issue with the fear golems and with Trak, but it's going to be a long time before we come to that.

I will start the process and make an cleric, I have wanted to try one of them before. I will let you know name and such when its done then we can figure out game times and such.

Is there a list somewhere of Kunark and older items? I know, obviously, you can check the expansion boxes on Allakhazam, but, I don't have an Alla account. And what about the use of potions and getting new game buffs? Taboo or no?

Yea, gotta agree with Xican...Velious hands down was the best expansion. Kunark didn't have all that much raid content. Velious had the classic faction raids that we all know and love, a bunch of hardcore quests, and a ton of other shit.

Oh, right, 'nother question...are AA's a no-go since they came out with Luclin?

Agree entirely. Kunark was awesome in relation to the original content, but Velious was my favorite. Everything after it blew.
