Install problem

Post by Turaylon Soulshadow »

Ok, a friend of mine finnally convinced me to play on the emulator he's on. I tried to install my copy of EQ titanium and, when it gets to the second disk some error comes up. It works fine on a friend's computer but won't work on mine...any ideas?

Just copy the EQ directory from your friend's computer. ;)

Some CD drives can be picky about reading burned CD's. Sometimes you burn one and it will randomly not work on certain drives. I'd re-burn that disc.

No, it's a storebought copy. Still with the original packaging.

Dd- thought of that but, well, there's no way to get the 2 computers in the same room/building to network them.

Copy the 2nd CD to a CD-R. Or get your friend to. That should work.

I use WinISO, which lets you create and mount ISO images as a CD drive, and have all my CD images on an external 320 gig hard drive. Only time I touch an actual CD is to make an image of it (and now I never have to hunt for CD's in my office.)

But yeah, copying that flaky CD to a CDR should do the trick also. If you're still having a problem, PM me and I'll hook you up with disc 2 - you could download the image and burn it to a CD.

Yea, no CD burner on his CPU...I just hope that disk 2 is the only problem...with my luck it'll go to disk 3 and same thing will happen.
