Explain This To Me!

I'm trying to figure out what technology it uses to connect to the internet. I see it comparing itself to Wi-Fi but if it isn't Wi-Fi what is it? This is probably a DURRR it's right there Minute moment but if I can get those speeds the way I think I can this would make my business life a little sweeter.

If I'm reading it correctly, it uses GPRS for it's internet connections. However, not being a power user or very knowledgeable about networks, I'm sure Dd will be along to fill in the blanks.

Partha's right - it's effectively just a 3G cellphone that plugs into your PC. Those figures are what the modem is capable of - to get those speeds though, your network provider also has to not suck.

That's what I thought. So then you have to buy a Data package from your cell phone provider?

Yes, but I'm not sure how it would work. It would probably be treated as a second line and have a SIM card of its own, or you'd have to pull the SIM from your phone and put it in the card somehow whenever you wanted to use it.
