Need A New Laptop

So one of my side businesses is doing pretty well and I've just hired my first employee. I need to get them a laptop to use. I'd like to keep it under a grand, the closer to 800 I can get the better. This is pure business machine, so Power > Graphics and such. I'd like it to be portable but not ultra portable (Like those super tiny ones you can't even type on, bleh).

Any suggestions? I read the PC Magazine review on several, but they were just a bit dated. Thought some of you might toss me some ideas and the reasoning behind them. Thanks.

Yup. I would go with the dell as well.

Relatively cheap and if comes with slightly more tolerable support than others. (granted you can probably fix most problems yourself, but if some hardware goes on the laptop they won't fight you too much on fixing it)

Had no problems with Dell's support at work. We use Latitudes.

if youre game at checking out some lenovo's lemmie know, I can get you an employee discount. course that price isnt much better than dell..go figure.

We are a Dell shop, and while I wouldn't buy a latitude as a personal box, they are easy to repair and will weather most business uses.
