xBox Controller Painting
This article came up on my RSS and I think I'm going to host a "paint your xbox controller" party soon. Now I need to think of something cool to paint on there. My artistic skills are little to nothing, anyone have any ideas? Select, I know you are good with stuff like this, help me out here!

Umm... Off the top of my head, if you suck at drawing, find some solid black tattoos you like (Deviant Art?). Print them out on thick paper/board and cut the design out with an exact-o knife, or cut the shapes out from printer paper and trace them onto a poster board or something. Then use the knife to cut the shapes from the board. You now have a collection of stencils you can form to the controller.
What paints will you be using? I didn't read the article yet. I guess something like what they use to paint Warhammer figures?

They actually don't mention anything about painting it. I did a couple quick google searches and it looks like I want "Krylon plastic bonding paint" ??Select wrote:What paints will you be using?

We did this back a few years ago with old Xbox controllers, used Spray paint and the colors actually lasted quite a while (they did wear out after many many hours of Halo).

On a more serious note, there is some good shit on DA. I think I could pull off the stencil idea, but I don't know about filling it in with detail - lol...
This would look cool on the handles of the controller:

Probably "too much" detail though, it might look a tad ridiculous.
I might just do the different suits of cards on there. It's easy, no detail, not too distracting, but still looks cool IMO.
