Significant Supreme Court Ruling

The long and short of it... corporations and unions can donate to political campaigns. That's going to change the dynamic of the mid-term elections. It essentially neutralizes the Dems fundraising efforts.
Correction Mr. President, I DID build this, and please give Lurker a hug, we wouldn't want to damage his self-esteem.

Not sure you read that right. From my reading they can now take out political ads, but are still prohibited from direct campaign contributions and coordination with political campaigns or groups.

You might be surprised to note that the AFL-CIO was on the same side as the Supreme Court on this. They favored the ruling.

Santa Clara led directly to this fiasco, and will lead to such niceties as the PRC publicly funding election materials for politicians who are going to do it favors. Think China owns us NOW? Wait until they've officially bought and paid for our government.

Hope you enjoy it, I'm off to study Mandarin.
