Obama and Jobs (not Steve)
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.c ... MKQ8N9.DTL
Been tracking this for a while. It really underscores how the Obama admin is two-faced about jobs. Having one of his agenices sue Boeing for wanting to build in a non-union state is... job killing. These are great jobs, well paid, and boeing has every right to do business in an area that it thinks is most beneficial to its business.
Funny thing is, Boeing could move thse jobs overseas, and NLRB wouldnt be able to do squat (and I don't think they can here either, but we have to let that play out in the courts). This one will come back to bite him in the election cycle, along with rising unemployment, huge deficit spending with litte change on Main Street, a shitty economy and no cogent message. In an election today, my dead grandma could give Obama a run for his money.

Re: Obama and Jobs (not Steve)
Embar,
Are you suggesting that Obama should somehow take control of an independent agency?
======
It's also important to point out every single time you make a post like this that it was the Republicans who decided early on that sabotaging the recovery would be beneficial to their election hopes and blocked legislation Obama proposed to help the economy and jobs, like the small business loan legislation you so desperately wanted. We haven't forgotten that, although you seem to have.

Re: Obama and Jobs (not Steve)
Another "this is going to come back to bite Obama in the ass" thread. We should just have perma-thread for all these. Maybe an "Obama's Diminishing Ass" thread, then they can all get rolled into one continues OH NOES OBAMA. Actually maybe just link directly to Drudge's front page and call it a day.
Seriously though, every time something negative makes the headline, it's a mad dash to see how you can pin it solely on Obama.

I thinkObama should replace the acting head of the agency, that's well within his purview, since he appointed him.Lurker wrote:Embar,

Edit: And I note that you're now engaged in finger pointing to the Republicans instead of addressing this particular issue. Do you think the NLRB should be doing what they're doing? Do you think the policy of the NLRB should be to force a company to have one union job for every non-union job in another state?

Re: Obama and Jobs (not Steve)
The focus of your thread wasn't on what the NLRB decided.
This was just another attack on Obama and your hopeful (almost gleeful) prediction about the coming election.
It was also another post where you blame the current economic situation on Obama without acknowledging the fact that the Republicans deliberately sabotaged the recovery and blocked needed legislatation because it would be to their advantage in elections. That's not finger-pointing. It's a fact.

Re: Obama and Jobs (not Steve)
I particulary like Obama's comments on the job report. Oh wait.. there weren't any. He scuttled off to Camp David. And its not like he routinely doesn't comment on the report, he comments on it almost every single time its released.

Face it... if Obama knew how to stimnulate the economy and create jobs, we'd know by now.

And this is exactly why I asked you to agree to the basic facts of what the Republicans are doing, and why it's pointless to discuss anything with you until you do. Might as well discuss navigation with a flat earther than engage you in conversation if you won't acknowledge reality.Embar wrote:Face it... if Obama knew how to stimnulate the economy and create jobs, we'd know by now.

Re: Obama and Jobs (not Steve)
Embar,
Pretty lame attempt to downplay and deflect what's actually happening.
The Republican's made a decision early on to sabotage the recovery because it would be to their political advantage and they blocked Obama's legislation (like the small business loan legislation that you yourself said was critical to job creation). That's hardly me saying "boo hoo Obama inherited this mess" (which he did), or that the Republican's simply aren't "nice". They are hurting millions of Americans because it might benefit their party politically.
That's the facts.
So stop posting your ignorant Drudge induced crap as if we've forgotten how we got where we are or what your political party is doing. Talk about getting old...

Re: Obama and Jobs (not Steve)
sfgate, not Drudge. its a paper hardly on the right end of the spectrum.
Nice way for you to deflect from the questions.
How about you Harlowe? Got anything to say other than complaints? Want to take a stab at those questions since Lurker is unwilling or unable?
