2012 London: Olympics Chat

Post by Alluveal »

Who's watching? I've been recording a lot and FF'ing through some stuff (lots of swimming trials and the bicycle races do nothing for me). But, other than that, I like me some events.

Maybe it's because I come from a frozen, borderline uninhabitable wasteland, but summer olympics never did it for me. I just don't find any of the sports fun to watch. I don't like basketball/soccer, running and races bore me too. I have enjoyed watching some of the women's weightlifting. That shit is wild. 120lbs women dead lifting 225lbs is kinda cool. But I can watch it for like 5 mins max.

I think the only thing I actually like watching is the volleyball. I can't think of anything else I make an effort to see.

I think the problem I have with the Olympics right now is, I pretty much think every single one of them is dirty. They are on roids, HGH, blood doping, etc. etc.. I sort of sickens me to the point that I just cannot enjoy it.

Men's bike road race was awesome after a rather dull Tour De France. Other than that, I'm not that interested. Aus will win a bunch of swimming medals and then fall into insignificance in the second half.

I'm hoping to see Dr. Who in the closing ceremony though!

I'm feel like Xican only I care even less about the Summer Olympics. The Winter is the only one that interests me, maybe because I'm also from dah Nort.

I enjoyed watching volleyball yesterday (7/29). That got pretty exciting several times. Unfortunately, a lot of the sports my redneck ass is interested in watching (skeet shooting, archery, etc.) aren't typically shown on TV.

Water polo was shown! So was ping pong. So was zzzzzzzzzzzzz

One day they'll figure out how to schedule interesting sports with meh sports, and ditch the fucking trash...like water polo, and ping pong.

More Judo, wrestling, weight lifting, Field and track to go with swimming, cycling, and rowing.
No sports that you need to be younger than 12, and need to be voted/judged on.

I'm surprised that's not an Olympic event.

Here is a link to the best event.

Dodging traffic, and causing head aches just to pretend you are the Beatles. At anytime, during daylight hours...it takes less than 2 minutes to witness a near miss accident.

Thanks Lulu - damn nice .gif there! Sharing with some of my gay subreddits now for karma. Mmm Ryan! Have you seen any interviews with him? I guess he's basically retarded but sleeps around a bunch luring in ladies with his olympic fame.

I love the olympics, however I don't even have a TV antenna so am unable to watch except for the pieces I've picked up from bars and friends' houses.

I watched the Canada-US Women's soccer game today and I have to say that quite frankly I feel cheated. Not about the penalty kick, but about the hour and a half of my life I'll never get back. 40 fucking women on the field and the American goalie was the only one that didn't look like a dude.
