I logged in today too. Boy was I surprised. Turns out, all my gear has poofed. So has my money, too. I no longer have most of my stuff. On top of that, it seems you now have to pay for just about everything. You want to play a Dark Elf? Gotta pay. Want to be a Necro? Gotta pay! I thought it went free to play?

I was kinda excited to mess around with this for a bit, then I found my bank and pockets empty. Now it's a little less desirable. Not knowing anything about the new content and not having any inclination to re-do all my old stuff makes this kind of a bust. Anyone who's somewhat familiar have any ideas for a broke ass level 57? With nothing but a Nature Walker's Hat, Gloves and Wrists. Not even a damn pair of boots or pants...

I have a lot of my stuff still, a friend had used my account for his characters and it was kept active due to a free subscription util a few years ago I guess (I really don't know since I never logged on). I however have no idea what expansions I have and what expansions to buy and come to find out they banned my husband's account even though he hasn't played at all! (Trying to get to the root of the problem, not sure how much effort to put into it).

I did get an invite into a guild and had an explore of the housing and guild features. I think at this point it's nostalgia more than anything. What server are you on Xican? I'm on CT.

LOL It did take a while to download and install, we have a pretty good internet connection speed but it might just be my 'not made for playing games' PC IDK~

I was surprised at how quick it downloaded for me. Like 45 mins or so for 7gigs ain't half bad. I'm on CT as well, Bolly. But I have no idea what I'm gonna do. Haha. I need to find something that is really good, quick cash that I can manage with a 57 Druid. Even if it's something that I do just to buy some old world gear and get myself back on my feet. I really wanna get my Velious gear back. I remember how hard I worked for that shit back in the day! Weird that it poofed some stuff and not others. Byebye Lodizal Shield... At least that won't be tough to get back.

Words can not express how annoyed I am to have lost my Silver Leaf Girdle (I think? The one that drops off Innoruuk?) because I beat out 17 people for it in a roll... Including a dirty little fucker named Relbeek.

Right now, my plan is to first, buy some bags. Then, I need to start farming something that's good coin. Anyone have suggestions? The whole thing feels really bulky and awkward to me right now. It's just been so long. On top of that, apparently some of my spells require regents I didn't recall them needing. Annoying...

I found out there's a 'claim' command. Apparently Sony didn't leave returning players in the dark. I got free 'defiant' gear, which is probably better than anything else I've ever owned. Lol. Also managed to pick up a dragon mount, which is kinda cool. Still mostly naked and trying to look through Allakhazam for shit I can get easy. Not having as much luck as I'd like. I miss knowing what the hell I'm doing.

Kinda disappointed at how easy it is in the old world... I got my claimed rewards (some nice gear) and a free mercenary. I then proceeded to solo Lodizal and half a dozen dragons in West Wastes. At level 57 that just shouldn't happen.

So we have recovered the 'banned account' and recovering the secondary account tomorrow. He only has 'free' status and I have silver, what gives?

Think it has to do with the status of the account when you renew. Could have something to do with his 'banned' status? With SoE, who knows...

I'm continuing to have some fun with this. Just ran through Seb for a little bit and absolutely destroyed everything in my path. My Tank Merc never got below 95% health (without heals) despite pulling 4-5 mobs at a time. They seemed to have jacked up the drop rate on plat and stuff. I was raking in cash and AA exp like crazy. Got 3 AAs in about 10 mins and probably 100p or so. I think I'm enjoying the fact that it's just so easy compared to the days of old.

Got both of his accounts back, silver level on both but a bunch of missing stuff AND missing characters! I think we're just going to have to wing it. Can't wait for the weekend! <how sad am I!?>

How Sad Am I would be a great guild name... Glad to hear you guys got it back silver. I had all my stuff stripped, too. Which is especially annoying, because I'm now doing so many things over, but it's totally easy.

If you type /claim and /veteran with an old enough account, you get a dragon-looking mount (it's kinda ugly to be honest) and the claim can give you all kinds of little goodies, including a few piece of really nice level-attuned gear, called 'defiant' stuff. For example the leather bracer I got had 10 to all stats, 20 to dex/agi, some resists and roughly 80 HP/mana. Nothing special, but it sure beats nothing and feels nice to a guy who never played past Velious.
