Texas. of course, sets standards for the textbooks most of the country use.

I'm waiting for the music songbooks to include "Brushland uber alles".

I think painting Texas, population 25,674,681, by the facebook statements of the Treasurer of Hardin county, population 55,246, takes a rather broad brush. So yeah, it was aimed at Minute.

Guilty I guess.

WTF Hardin County, Texas?

Better? This guy is still a fucking idiot & parents there should be up in arms about this dickhole proofing the textbooks that their children learn from.

I don't think it's too far off to say "Texas WTF". It's happening in more than one county iirc. In fact, don't you recall the Texas Board of Education getting approval to white-wash slavery and gussy up some terms.
The slave trade would be renamed the “Atlantic triangular trade,” American “imperialism” changed to “expansionism,” and all references to “capitalism” have been replaced with “free enterprise.”

The role of Thomas Jefferson – who argued for the separation of church and state – is minimized in several places, and the standards would emphasize the degree to which the Founding Fathers were driven by Christian principles.
No one remembers this??

Most important is that the Chairman of the GOP for the county is named... BATMAN.

Remember, Republicans hate democracy. As a political movement, American "Conservativism" and its attendant Republican Party exist only to parley the fears of the southern white male, and those who share those fears, into political power for plutocracy.

The best part of those are the followup petitions demanding all people voting for secession be stripped of citizenship. Or the one where Austin asked to secede from Texas.

Oh, the comments. I always love the comments on these things.

The "geography of the vote" pics always amuse me too - are people that post them really aware that they're advocating "1 acre, 1 vote"?
