Do Shrooms - Grow Brains

What I do compress them into a little ball and swallow them like a pill, then chase it with a drink before it hits my taste buds. The taste is so nasty to me that I refuse to prolong it in any form. Just *gulp* *gulp* and wait an hour

I used to know people who ordered the spores over the Internet. Supposedly the spores are legal. It's harder than it looks though. They only flourish within a small band of temperature and humidity. But if you can give it that precise environment, then yeah, you'll be tripping haha. I don' think it's toxic if you get them wrong, so you get either viable shrooms or lifeless goop.

In the late 80's I had a childhood friend who owned this taxi cab which he drove around Northern Cali in a tie-dye tee shirt delivering fungus to the whole bay area like Johnny fuckin' Appleseed. When he visited So. Cal. he would give me freezer bags full. It was like living in the '60's. I used to just give most of it away. Good times.

Not too long ago someone gave me a few grams, and I had to get rid of them because the wife objected. You pick your battles in marriage and she picked that one /shrug. At least she doesn't care if I took them far away from her, so maybe camping next year. It's been about 16 years since I last took them.

Magic mushrooms are grown in cowshit...you really don't wanna chew on them too long...just pop a couple in your mouth and chase with a beer...don't plan on going anywhere afterwards and be ready to laugh your fuckin ass off!

Having your brain experience the effects of psilocybin is an EXTREMELY important event, even if it's 'herp derp, illegal!'

They're relatively safe, and good for you. Especially if you have digestive problems or a slow metabolism (the family of fungi they come from have an amazing cleansing property). The psychological and sensory effects are pretty intense the first time you take them. As far as dosage amount, It all depends on your personality/state of mind/mental fortitude. The first time I did them, I took a whole 8th. Several stems, several caps.

I had a unique experience. Everyone I know has more of a behavioral (and less sensory) reaction. At first I acted quite normal, but I felt an exploratory urge (I realized) that I hadn't had since childhood. They took 40 minutes to kick in. 2 hours in, I was having a serious increase in my senses. The carpet felt more textured under my feet, my imagination would cause the drywall to shift and dance around. Sounds were louder and made me feel different each time. Things that would normally make me barely crack a smile, had me on the floor laughing. I did not experience fatigue the whole time. Put aside about 4-6 hours. You will not feel tired, but your movements won't increase in energy. About 3 hours in, it peaked. (I have a VERY slow metabolism). At this point, I had my 'unique' experience. I began to hallucinate. When I say hallucinate, I don't mean 'see pretty colors' or 'watch the carpet crawl'. I mean, complete manifestations of objects/animals/etc. that were clearly not real.

The overall experience helped me understand better, how the human brain works. It brought me closer in my understanding of people who suffer mental disorders and chronic psychosis. It allowed me to realize the magic-show our brain is able to put on for us. Might as well have been the Holodeck from Star Trek.

I agree that everyone should try them a minimum of once in their lifetime. People put more effort into understanding their phones than the inner workings of their own minds. The only issue I see for most people is that once your mind is opened, there's really no going back. The genie doesn't go back into the bottle. For me, it was a permanent change to my outlook on life, and most others I know feel the same. But just as people are different, people's trips are different. There's no way of predicting the exact experience you will have, other than to say it will probably be deeply meaningful to you.

Free..does that apply just to mushrooms or would other more illegal methods of mind alteration work as well say LSD?

LSD works 99.99% just as good. It's not harmful either, but it's not natural like Psilocybin. As long as they made it right, and you trust who you got it from, then you're fine. But I would always take the natural one over the lab-made one. And Psilocybin is a slightly better trip, too.

And just like putting too much salt on your food, you can't undo too big of a dose. To take a smaller dose, with acid, you can just cut the tab in half-be careful not to handle it- and with shrooms you can just take less. It's not something you can OD on as far as I know, but too big of a dose for a first time tripper is usually where I see people go wrong. "I'm not feeling it, give me more" usually doesn't work out well as it can take 1 1/2 to 2 hours in your system before you're good and frying. For shrooms, would start 1g for a small-ish person or 1.5-2g for a larger person, and make sure to get at least one "top."

I used to work at a gas station where we would all drop acid every night on the graveyard shift. I had this friend we called "LS Dave" who used to drop by and hook us up...

My first and only trip with LSD was at a party back in 85..I was one year outta high school and someone dropped it into my beer without me knowing...Let me tell ya..at first..the trip was great until I tried to climb up the wall at our highschool to get on top of the roof...all was going well..scaling up the drainpipe..then my friend said "Whatever you do Mike...DON'T look directly at the bricks on the wall" well...I did...then proceeded to drop onto my ass from 12 feet up...lol

What you don't want for example is your neighbor choosing to confront you over a parking spot while you're shrooming. Line up all your ducks in a row beforehand: music, food, companions, etc. And remember, this is a 12 hour amusement park ride. You don't get to climb off the ride halfway though, so make sure you want to be on the ride, take a deep breath, and enjoy the sights until the ride comes to a full and complete stop!

All this & my friend, the personal experience wikipedia of drug use, says it's also a real good idea to have a sober person around to guide you back to happy thoughts if you start going dark. I don't want to experience many drugs before I die, but shrooms are one. Lulu's fears don't seem like they would apply to shrooms. ?
