Great film, highly entertaining. It was heavy on the blood (typical Quentin), mostly classic-music soundtrack (typical Quentin), and gorgeous cinematography (another expectation when seeing a Quentin film). Jamie Foxx did a great job. I think Will Smith was first considered for this role and there is no way in hell he could have achieved the level of bad-assery that Jamie did.
Also, I love Christoph Waltz in just about anything he does. He's an excellent character actor and this was no exception as a dentist turned bounty hunter.

Re: Django Unchained
The only reason I'm not interested in this movie is that I find Tarantino so cheesy and cliche. I find a lot (I enjoyed a few of them) of his films to be campy and almost parody-like in their effects and such.
This lineup is fantastic and people have told me it is pretty enjoyable (and apparently Sam Jackson is fucking hilarious), but I really just don't enjoy Tarantino's style. I'll wait and rent this, I think.

I don't know if it's cheesy, but it is absolutely Tarantino "campy". SJ was fucking hilarious Xican.
If you really don't like his other films, I'm not sure you'll fall in love with this one.
