Better Place goes Bankrupt =[

Post by Minute »

Makes me sad inside. Great idea, just ahead of it's time & way too many kinks at this point in the EV game. Plus wtf was up with the 170k per share thing? I looked into investing in this company at one time & was like DaFuq???

IMO the only way it is ever going to work is by the government setting a standard for EV's that all manufacturers will need to follow. It's the only thing that makes sense and creates the greatest economies of scale.

I agree, but Tesla doing it at their own charging stations might set the stage for something similar. The concept is a good one imo. The biggest deterrent I think is the cost of investment on a technology that might be skipped. I mean we have some transistor & battery tech that's coming out that could potentially make the need to swap batteries almost nil.
