please

Post by calleagh »

i've never asked for anything but this is something i really need a lot of support with. a year ago i was rushed to the hospital with ammonia poisoning. it was then that i found out i had advanced cirrhosis of the liver caused by hepatitis c. i was stunned. i spent a month in a rehab facility relearning all that i had lost from the poisoning.

anyway, i am being evaluated for a transplant. please find it in your hearts to keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

That's horrible, I hope the matching process goes as quickly as possible and wishing you a successful surgery too.

not sure about stem cells. they werent mentioned as an alternative and the place i was at is one of the top medical universities in the country and my surgeon is world reknowned for his work in liver transplants. he would have mentioned it.

rael there is no 2nd opinion in this state and god knows i can't afford to go elsewhere. and i havent been a druid in a long time!! i left game as a necro :P

I hope they come up with some kind of alternative, otherwise ...what happens is it just hardcore medication for life? Don't feel like you have to share anything medical you aren't comfortable sharing. I just hope there is some kind of treatment they can use as a "plan b" for people that are not good candidates for a transplant.
