The console edition of The Elder Scrolls Online will be delayed by six months, according to a since deleted line on the game's official FAQ page.
Update 1: Bethesda released an official statement this morning about the six-month delay, which it pegged on "a series of unique problems" specific to the console versions pertaining to "Integrating our systems with each console manufacturer’s networks."

The company is also offering Mac and Windows PC players a discount on the console versions and the opportunity to bring their characters to the new platforms.

"Via a special offer, anyone who purchases and plays the PC/Mac version of The Elder Scrolls Online by the end of June will have the opportunity to transfer their character(s) to either console version when they are released," the statement reads. "The offer will allow you to begin playing immediately on the PC/Mac, and then add the PS4 or Xbox One version and transfer the character(s) you have created and developed. And, you don’t have to pay full price for the game twice. For $20, eligible PC and Mac players will have the option to add a full, digital version of ESO on either the PS4 or the Xbox One with your character transfer(s), and another 30 days of included game time. "
Update 2: Bethesda vice president of PR and marketing Pete Hines told Polygon that players can keep their Mac and Windows versions active and play the game on both systems, though those would be different, unconnected experiences. Details are to be determined "on exactly how that works," Hines wrote on Twitter. "[M]y hope is that you take a copy to console, pc one remains, you could play both."
